Bad Guy Andrew Kozera aka Madsnake BEWARE!! SCAMMER!!

Most of the bearded dragon community know me as a breeder who is very customer service oriented, I always call, text, email whichever is best to let you know dragon is being sent as instructed and have never moved a shipping date over that I can recall only because I have been lucky, but if I had to I would be on that phone super quick. I ship many, many dragons and it is really not that hard to communicate with folks to let them know what is going on with their animal..it is mandatory. I know people make arrangements to be there to get the animal off the stoop and daily life has to be rearranged in some cases to be there to receive it. Now, I am involved in a purchase from a person not known in our dragon community and I am paying the price for it:

I purchased a dragon from Andrew Kozera aka Madsnake on 2/11/16 for $350.00 via paypal which he had me send as gift (I know I know)

He has had many excuses from 2/11/16 to 3/21/16 and some of the weather excuses were valid, however, there were quite a few nights above 30 degrees and I ship continually and safely into 30 degrees, but excuses where I see his weather is fine to ship do not make sense.

Finally on 3/21/16 he says he will ship dragon, but dragon did not arrive. 3/22/16 he says he will ship for a 3/23 delivery but dragon does not arrive. 3/23/16 dragon did not arrive and he says he will ship dragon out for a 3/24/16 delivery....today I get more excuses of how he can not answer his phone and to call Kristian (who is Kristian??) and a snapshot of a USPS 2 day with a tracking number that does not pull up. He did not get my permission to send it 2 day with a tab of $42 (from FL to NY it is only $27 priority overnight anyhow so that is odd) as most customers will need to make arrangements to be available and I do not ship animals two day or would EVER receive them 2 day knowingly. I was told he was coming fedex yesterday. I have asked for a refund or to send this lizard. This is beyond crazy.

I believe this not my tracking number and he did not send lizard. This was sent to shut me up for another day. He spent the money and possibly does not have the lizard and this is part of a scam.

DO NOT SEND MONEY TO THIS PERSON!!!!

Thanks Lynn, still can't pull up the tracking number it is saying "invalid". At any rate, I would not do business with him again....the lack of communication and not shipping when promised are enough stress that I can not say anything positive about this transaction. The excuses and promises via text and email are very unprofessional and ill represent a reptile business owner.

I thought they did for lizards, not snakes.

At any rate tracking shows the package was signed for by "T Aldrich" at 12:22 pm EST today. Hopefully it's ok after being in transit for three days.

In the OP's case, they should have been informed that the seller was using USPS and I would never recommend 2-day. The seller should always get an agreement with the buyer about shipping method.
I hope the dragon arrived safe and sound.

Tammy, you need to come back and update your thread. You called him a scammer while it looks like the mistake was yours for looking in the wrong place for tracking.This thread is here to stay and right now it looks like you jumped the gun IMO.

I would like to have seen the communications, was it agreed to be shipped 2 day USPS?
And TBH the very first pic showing tracking also shows it was USPS so no excuses for thinking it was Fedex at all.

So did the dragon arrive safely after its travels?
Was it agreed by both parties to be a 2 day USPS shipment?

That's your first mistake...which you acknowledge, but with you actually being in the industry, you should know better.

While I have yet to track the package, you have said that it shows as delivered and signed for by Tammy. (I'm just being lazy and don't want to go do extra searching. So I'm going by what you've said in your post.) According to her previous statement in her first post, she said that he did not have her permission to send it USPS or 2 day:

Either way, I think this is a screwed up situation, because it seems as though she was given the run around for a bit, then was sent the dragon, but not with the shipping method that she requested. So while I still think this person deserves a bad guy thread, I don't think it's because he was a scammer. Unless Tammy comes back and gives extra details. (Such as if she received an empty box or the correct dragon.) Until such time, the person should get a bad guy label for sending an animal out in a cruddy manner and possibly endangering the life of the dragon.

But unless Tammy comes back, I guess we won't know the outcome or the communication that lead to such outcome...

Sorry for not responding. Yes dragon arrived after being in mail 2 days, he is ok, another thing is that I do believe his picture in the fauna ad (the bright yellow dragon) was edited because this is the dragon received (the orange base tone dragon in my hand).

David: I did not look in the wrong place for tracking, I went to USPS and for some reason it popped up on my screen as invalid..that was surely strange. I paid for Fedex and was told he was coming in Fedex. He was sent USPS without my permission, you can't do that to someone's lizard without asking them...I couldn't imagine doing something like that with someone's animal. Not to mention the stress it puts the customer in.

I am very upset with this whole deal. I did not even contact Andrew back about picture not being accurate. I am finished with it.

Glad he got there in one piece! I agree, when you pay for FedEx and are told it will be FedEx, for the seller to instead 2 day mail the lizard to you, that is not acceptable.
