Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Angel Vazquez PROBLEM BUYER 66% dh blizzard

Angel,
Try and read what Mickey wrote. He said a 66% het. for blizzard is a snake that is 66% het. for albino and 66% het. for type 2 anery. He never said they where not the same. Post the email. Don't write down what you want.

Michael you seem very ignorant about certain issues. First of all, if your brained functioned correctly you would find that I did not air my dirty laundry like a cry baby. Somebody needed the support of other people and therefor we end up in a place where Mickey is comfortable, like this forum, where peopel like you side with the people you already know. Next, I am not upset about the sale, I do sales for a living and am sure I can manage the situation. If you can loosen your g-string you may of been able to see that this whole thing is an issue of how business principles are followed (you may understand this, if they offered business management classes in the barn yard). The bottom line is that my potential buyer was given bogus information, how hard is this to understand?

People should not be buying poss. dh animals if they don't understand genetics anyhow. Your buyer obviously does not understand the genetics involved here and luckily he did not purchase the animal. Otherwise he will breed it and tell people that the offspring are 100% double hets or something. If you don't understand the genetics of the animal you are buying, then how could you understand the genetics of it's offspring. I'm sorry for the loss of your sale, but to be honest, I am glad this buyer didn't get a hold of this animal.
On another note, I just wanted to clarify something. Angel, you said in your ad that you were given this boa. Then later in the ad, you said you purchased it from Mickey. Just curious which it is.

Thanks,
Matt Crabe

Chad,

I had asked Mickey to clear up any misunderstanding with my potential buyer and he refused. I made an effort to resolve this situation way before it even made it to this forum. It is not my fault that a lack in effort was elsewhere. I'm sorry Chad but if I sell an animal to somebody and that person turns around to sell that animal, I would give anybody the same information I did as when I first sold it.

The question here was never genetics
The question here was the information Mickey was giving to person that contacted him
To make things short, the potential buyer, after talking with Mickey was left with an impression that the 2 were different genetic carrirers

So.....to get this straight (help me out here) the question wasn't about genetics....it was about Mickey TALKING about genetics, right? I'm a little confused.

Angel, the point is that if you are dealing with "high end" boas, then perhaps you should know a little about them before you start buying and selling. ESPECIALLY if you are dealing with heterozygous animals.

The fact remains that Mickey did nothing wrong and he could tell YOUR potential customer that if he mated this snake with a Sooper Dooper Halloween Ice Rain Boa Constrictor he'd end up with a Sooper Dooper Ghost 23.4985% het for Christmas morph. It is YOUR customer, YOUR deal and YOUR responsibility.

Plus, you have nothing to worry about because by the sounds of your new ad it sounds like you have people beating down your door to get at this snake and practically throwing money at you.

(just a refresher:
I have received numerous inquires and have received numerous offers in the $500.00 range.
)

Don't worry about lil' ol' Mickey, then. He should be nothing next to you high rollers....

And you are threatening by telling him to check with his local law enforcement because IF YOU CAN you'll be pressing charges? You have GOT to be joking, right?

Now, on a totally different subject matter.

Angel, because you basically are trying to violate my civil rights by taking away information that should legally be accessible in a public domain (ie. this thread) I may have to call the ACLU (www.aclu.org) and ask them to take on my case immediately regarding:

I would appreciate if you remove anything that would have any of my information.

Angel

Do yourself a favor, and dont resort to name calling, its unbecoming. Besides people may blow it out of perportion and decide they will call the cops next.

Do you see where Im going with this. You keep asking others to see your side, well look at mine. From the emails I just posted, it proves I did NOTHING to sabatoge your sale. Hell had I known it was the striped tailed animal (at the time I didnt put two and two together, I sell alot of animals) I would have given even a more glowing review of the project.

You contacted me threatening lawsuit, cops, calling me out as a poor businessman, ect. You never tried to ask me what I said, I would have happily privately aired this info to you. Instead you threatened outside "help" and my responce was to report this to the herp community at large. I wanted you to see who was right and who was wrong. I DID NOT SABATOGE YOUR "SALE". People back out all the time for different reasons. I gave a glowing review of a project IM PERSONALLY VERY EXITED ABOUT.

When I sold thoose snakes, I told everyone, even you I believe, that the only reason Im selling all of them is I WOULDNT BE ABLE TO GET A FEMALE TO PAIR IT WITH ANYTIME SOON. Had I known that this next batch was going to land in my lap, you can BET YOUR A@@ THAT STRIPED TAILED ANIMAL WOULD STILL BE MINE, AND WE WOULDNT EVEN BE HAVEING THIS CONVERSATION.

Feel free to continue to harrass me on this, thats fine. I proved my point....GOOD NIGHT.

MDC,

My wife purchased the boa and gave it to me ( I received the boa, but it was purchased with my money). And again, I'm not so concerned with the genetics, just with what an original seller tells a potential buyer.

Tricia,
The boas are sold. If you can read you would know that the subject is about telling someone misleading information.

Angel, putting aside the issues for a moment

You have already made yourself look extremely unprofessional, and you have been the one making personal attacks on this board. I would say at this point, I would buy a genetic animal from Mickey, but would definately never buy any animal from you.

On the issue at hand, it seems readily apparent that you and/or your "customer" are not as educated on the gentics of Boas as you should be, if you are buying genetic mutation Boas. It seemed to me that you, and /or your customer could not comprehend the fact that Poss dh Blizzard is the same thing as Poss dh Albino and Type II Anery. Maybe Mickey did give the potential buyer more information than he should have in your eyes, but maybe, just maybe, you should have educated your customer BEFORE he contacted Mickey.

Steven,

You are right. This is and is not about genetics. Maybe your okay with buying a horse het. for green and then the seller telling someone else that it is not.

Couldnt resist

Ok, what was I supposed to say Angel?

Was I to tell your buyer, hell yea that snake is DA BOMB. You could pair it to a common and get blizzards?

No thats not how I did it with you, thats not how I would do it with your customers, thats not the way I run my BUSINESS.

I sell reptiles for a living. Many of the animals I sell are high end boas. I LIVE AND DIE ON MY REPUTATION, MORE THEN MOST PEOPLE AS I AM A BROKER. As such I try my hardest to be 100% accurate AND CLEAR about what Im saying.

When I sold your wife the snake, It was sold under the understanding that the females were very hard to obtain, and worth far more. As such I told her its a VERY VERY PRETTY SNAKE, With great genetic POTENTIAL, however without the right mate its a COMMON.

That is far more BLUNT then I was with your customer. Again Im sure others who contacted me on the animals can verify that I was look warm on theese males. I never said MAN BUY THEESE SNAKES YOUR GOING TO MAKE A KILLING BREEDING THEM. Thats not the way I do business, and ITS NOT THE TRUTH.

With thoose snakes in reality you have 1/5th the puzzle. The other 4/5'ths would be a female of like genetics to pair it with. Without the MORE VALUABLE FEMALE, THE MALE IS WHAT IT APPEARS TO BE COMMON (i.e. its a common appearing boa with wasted genetics at that point).

I cannot recall the exact purchase price, but it was well under the "offers" your getting on the snake. And let me say, that snake may very well be worth 500$. Lets say for arguments sake that in 3 years it proved out dh, and on top that nice little stripe turned up genetic. What do you think that snake is worth then? How about when the first blizzard boa is born, and WOW ITS AMAZING. BAM THE PRICE ON YOUR BOA JUMPS.

Thats alot of WHAT IFS, just like the what if your "buyer" had purchased the snake. Dont live by what ifs, it doesnt work well.

Mickey,

$500.00 is for the purchase of 3 boas not just the 66% het. There is also an Anery and het. for anery. I think it calculates to less than what you made from it.

I knew that these responses would be one sided.

If you try to convince people that the sky is purple, you'll also have a lot of one-sided responses. Strange, don't you think?

People are being judgemental to an individual they don't even know.

No, people are responding to the information that has been presented in black and white. Whether we "know you" or not your words have represented you.

As you can see per Mickey's last entry, he admits that he told my potential buyer that "males are rather easily obtainable at this time".

And if you would READ the entire paragraph you would understand in what context that comment was made. Had Mickey said "males are rather easily obtainable in the herp market at this time" I'd have to side with you. Read the context in which things were said, don't read out of them what you want to try and make it sound like you have a valid point.

Wow Steven, it's really amazing how you could read Mickey's mind and tell what he meant. You just proved that you are beiong one sided.

Steven didnt read my mind, he pointed out that in context what I said was 100% accurate, and again what was said to your wife/girlfriend (sorry not sure which so just will put both, no offence ment) when she bought the snake.

ONE LAST TIME. MALE POSS HET BLIZZARDS = 150-250 ea fair value (and yours was def on the 250 range, very pretty snake).

FEMALE POSS HET BLIZZARDS= IF AVAIALABLE PREPAIRE TO PAY 1500$ ea or more for poss hets.

Thats what was said when I sold you guys the snake.

I told your buyer, that without spending atleast a grand, hes got a long road to get the blizzard (obviously what he was after). Thats 500$ less then what I told you. So in reality I made the project more appealing to someone on a budget rather then less. What if I told him as I told you that a female would be atleast 1500$, and he would be lucky if he got one NEXT SEASON. Man that HONEST STATEMENT would have really been bad wouldnt it have.

also something in your statement about all 3 snakes being sold stands out.

What was the anery in question a type 1 or type 2?

When I sold your wife/girlfriend the snake I told her clearly it was a type 2 anery. She told me your snake was a type 2 female anery, and that was why she was soo interested. I then told her that it would be a good pairing, but WOULD NOT PRODUCE BLIZZARDS. It would produce type 2 anerys poss het blizzard (like 33% maybe even 25% not sure without crunching the numbers).

Now I also told her type 1 and type 2 were incompatible.

If you indeed sold a male poss dh blizz, and a female type 2 anery, and a third snake for 500$, then you got hosed, sorry to hear that. The pair is easily worth that. Not many people have type 2 female anerys available right now, good ingredient in an exiting project. I think your buyer took advantage of your lack of genetic knowladge, bummer.

lmao

im sorry Mickey but i cant resist this ,

i have read every post made (whewww) thats alotta reading

and the conclusion i have come up with after hearing both sides is :

ANGEL YOUR A DAM MORON !!!!!!!!!!! YOUR BETTER OFF IF U JUST SHUT UP

CAUSE THE MORE YOU TALK THE STUPIDER YOU SOUND ..

Ill take the heat for this 1 and accept my warning with no regrets
but it had to be said in simple terms for Angel the simple minded to understand without confusion.......

This is not going anywhere, my bad, my fault. I have a potential buyer thinking that a 66% het for blizzard and a 66% het albino/66% het type 2 anery are diffirent boas after talking with you, but it's my fault he got this impression. And it is my fault that I asked you to clear up the confusion that was created when he spoke to you and you refused.....................I apologize to everyone for the inconvinience I caused.

Bye

Angel,

If you still have that snake, or your buyer backs out, I would be happy to pay what I paid Mickey for mine. The only reason I didn't reply to your ad is because you were only selling them as a group. I don't want the others. Anyhow, I am local in the Bay Area and will purchase him for what I paid for mine if you are interested. This way you can save on shipping. You can email me directly at [email protected] if you are interested.

Thanks,
Matt Crabe
