    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

To be clear Angel did pay a bit more for that snake then the one I sold you. As was stated before that was the pick of the 7 I got, had a striped tail, and was priced at a premium because of it. I cannot recall at this time the original purchase price, but it was under 250$ with shipping included. That was THE MOST EXPENSIVE one of the group, and IMO well worth the price paid.
 
You know what is sad?

I have been in this business around 14 years and have never heard of Angel. I have read hundreds of threads on the BOI and have never heard of Angel. I have combed through the KS classifieds from day one and guess what, I have never heard of Angel. I used to operate my business out of San Jose and have NEVER heard of Angel! You see the pattern here? We are dealing with someone who obviously is brand spanking new to this hobby. Should that matter? Only if the only thing ANYONE has ever heard of the seller is bad news. One thing I know for sure in this business/hobby is that bad news travels at the speed of light.

Angel, for the record I do not know Mickey. But I do know an amatuer when I see one. Anyone who could take Mickeys email to your buyer and make an issue out of it wont last lnog in this business. This sort of behavior wont fly at a local level (Sunnyvale Pets/Reptile Ranch/EBV/Great Valley Serpentarium) and it sure isnt going to work on a national level.

So far, I see 8 pages of support for ethical business on Mickey's behalf and not one post of support for the BS in your complaint.

Why do you think that is? Do you think we are just a bunch of brainwashed idiots with tight G-Strings (very mature by the way)? Or do you think for one minute that if the story were exactly the same with the names reversed we would still be on Mickeys side? For the record, if the story was the other way around I would be behind you ALL THE WAY!

If you plan on making it ten minutes as a seller you better knock that chip off your shoulder and make a name for yourself that is a little more flattering than the one you have earned yourself on this thread.

Hopefully you will wake up tomorrow and realize that the are in the wrong. Maybe you will even post here and let us all know how this was a big misunderstanding. And then again, you could take the path of 99% of newbies and say "I dont care what you guys think, I dont need your business anyway." Those people last about a week in this hobby. And the few that last longer, you can read volumes about them right here on the BOI. I could list a few names but doing a simple search for "Horrible Seller" or "Nightmare Buyer" would probably get you off to a good start.

Look Mickey, I'm not trying to bump heads with you but you have to see this from my perspective. If you picked up a boa from Jeremy and told you it was ??? and you decide to resell it and somebody were to contact Jeremy to verify genetics, then emails you and tells you that Jeremy said it was not ??? but a ////. I'm sure you would be upset.
 
That is odd Michael since all the shops (shop owners and ex-owners) know me, they also know what kind of animals I own. For that matter I am involved with a breeding project with one of the owners, they have also had pictures of my animals in their shops. I have also sold numerous boas on kingsnake, so you must not have paid close attention. And yes this is my first time in this forum so you would not know me here. I have owned boas for 12 years and yes, sometimes confusion sets in but, I'm sure everybody here does'nt have that problem. As to you questioning my knowlegde, if you do know the shop owners they would tell you that my knowledge for boas is extensive, not perfect but more than most but, I know that you don't have that problem and know everything there is to know about boas or reptiles for that matter. And it's kind of odd that I never heard of you in the shops or on kingsnake.....I sure know you here.

"This snake was purchased as a 66% het. for blizzard. I tried to sell the snake and someone had made contact with you to verify this animal. This person got in contact with me and stated that you told him that this boa was not a 66% het. for blizzard but a 66% het for albino and a 66% type 2 anery. If you sold this boa as a 66% het. for blizzard that is what I would expect you would tell someone or else this would mean that you misrepresented the boa to begin with meaning you did a bad sale. If you are saying that this boa is other than what you originally sold it for, then we have a problem and I would need to contact an attorney and get refunded any monies spent on the boa, housing and feeding. Please respond ASAP as I am concerned with what you originally said and what you are telling people now.

That was the first email I recieved from you about this situation. You didnt even give me a heads up that someone was going to email and ask about the snake (not that it would have changed my responce). By the time I got this email from you ALL COMMUNICATION WITH THE "BUYER" HAD ENDED.

All the emails between myself and Bryan happened in less then 2 hours last night. By the time I woke up this morning, I had the above quoted email from you to start my day to.

This is a VERY CLOSE COMMUNITY with long memories (sorta). Its hard to gain a good rep, very hard. And its alot harder to drop a bad one.

Why not call this a missunderstanding, step aside yourself and think about what you have done in one day to your name. You can say I did it by bringing this here, and you may be right. But again I did this as a way to blow steam rather then respond to you with like threats.

You were/are threatening my name, and my livelyhood. I have worked many hard years to be known as a trustworthy and honest person. Had you given me a chance, you would have seen I am a good guy to deal with when given a ounce of respect. I didnt even do the deal with you, so my first contact with you was negative. Thats bound to bring a negative responce in return.

I am very calm and collected both here and in my emails to you and your buyer. However if you had to deal with the inner rage created by this situation, you would see were likely not too different of people. I have a very bad temper, and when my buttons are pushed I can be a real sob.

Mabye if you learn to do as I and others are pointing out, you can save your name. One bad day should not mark a person for life. We all have them. However going on and on as you are your just digging a hole that didnt need dug. Next time approach a person a little different and you will get a better responce.

Im also not trying to butt heads, so I tell you what. I will look at my records tommorow, and if you still have the snake I will pay you the original price paid for the animal (INCLUDEING SHIPPING). I will then sell it to Mr Kade for the same price he paid me shipped for the last one. You would have to give him the snake in person, and he would pay you for the total you paid (I would send him money in advance to cover the difference).
 
You're right, I reacted in an aggressive fashion. I don't expect you to resolve this problem in the fashion stated. I expect to do my own selling. If I have to email you in regards to a boa I will do it in a more amiable fashion as I hope that you will do the same if I need you to clarify a discrepancy.
 
Next time (hopefully there won't be) there is a disagreement don't post up my name. that email I received was way out of line. I'm sure you would'nt like me to find some type of freaky gay guy web site and put your first and last name there (sorry for the scenario, just seemed funny) and to hint where your email address would be available.
 
I didnt even think about your email address to be quite blunt. I just posted the emails to be clear and to the point. I have been around this place long enough to have heard the call in advance "where are the emails".

Im sorry I didnt take the time to block out your contact info, it didnt even cross my mind. That was the first time I had ever posted a string of emails like that. Generally I dont have them all convienently located on one email. I just cut and pasted the info and hit send soo to speak.

I will make sure not to do that to others in the future, but it was an honest mistake.

I agree the email was out of line. I wasnt asking or expecting people to email you privately and talk trash. I sent you an email with the link from the start. I believe I also clearly stated here that you were aware of the thread. As such I assumed if people had a responce they would post it here, and you in like.

Im sorry it too all this bs drama to get to a civil level, but thats life sometimes. Live and learn.

Of course you wouldnt know me as I do not breed, keep, or sell boas. Nor do I sell ANY animals to the public in the cities I have lived as I have excelent relationships with the stores I chose to sell to. And no, I do not know everything about boas as you stated in the above post. But i do know about genetis. And I also know a thing or two about business, and I definitely know integrity. Those two things (business and integrity) go hand in hand, and if they do not then there is nothing left to discuss. Fortunately you decided to take responsibility for this situation. Unfortnately you chose to threaten Mickey with legal action and make him out to be the bad guy before you came to your senses. Its allright though, you have the rest of your life to make a name for yourself in this hobby (if you so choose). My dad's got this saying that he lives by. It goes something like this. "You can have 999 attaboys and one Ahh Sh!t will knock you back down to zero. I have been knocked back to zero MANY times. None of us are immune to problems. Its how we deal with them that makes us who we are. Althought a bit rocky out of the gate, you are off to a good start if your apology to Mickey and this board were sincere. I for one admit I was wrong about one thing. I lost a bet to a friend of mine by predicting this thread would reach 50 pages by next weekend. I will gladly pay the $5 to see something positive come out of this.
