In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Stay far away from this site, just the fact that they must illegally spam in order to receive members is completely disturbing. It seems like such a nice layout, too bad it is run by such a blithering idiot with total lack of respect for others in this business. I hope he dies a slow terrible death. Twice.

Death to all spammers

Chris quit beating around the bush and tell us what you really mean.

Nothing like finding your in box full of crap. The pisser is they send it from different addresses. I block one and get it the next day from a different address. They need to make a DO NOT SPAM list like they did with the DO NOT CALL LIST.

:>off_to<: anyone notice that they're starting to use call centers in Canada to get around "do not call" lists? I've noticed a huge amount of Ontario and Quebec numbers on my call ID lately.

I freakin' hate it!!!

I just bought a house and I have been solicited at least 4 dozen times in the past 4 weeks. Door to door, phone, mail, e-mail. IT DRIVES ME NUTZ! I thought I left my new phone number out of any paperwork I filled out as well as not getting call forwarding but these nimrods continue to bombard me.

I am a loan production manager at a large bank and know the tactics brokers use to acquire business and they will stop at nothing. They will find a way to violate you. The ones I hate are these guys posing as some type of charity organization. :uzi:

Another thing that really, REALLY bothers me about this "anibid" site . . . Does anyone else think that an auction is not an appropriate place to sell a high-maintenance, intelligent, high-commitment pet like a monkey or big cat?

...The whole thing just kind of reeks to me.

yea but its legal...

its a shame but legal..I have even been to live auctions in PA where they auctioned off monkeys, lynx, fox, prarie dogs, racoons, otters, gators, skunks, weasels, and llamas ( more stuff but I forgot what else) . I spent the day there and it was quite an adventure , the kids loved it, they got to do the pony rides and stuff.

I love this line from their spam:

Wether your buying, selling, or looking to trade, any animal, and or animal products, www.AniBid.com is the place for you.

Obviously a REALLY high class operation there... can't even spell or get their grammar straight.

Smooth move.

Wow... That's really sad. :(

I would like an otter, though . . . But not one who was sold through an auction!!!

Spammers Suck!

I hate spammers more than anyone, but I hate to say it by bringing this here you are only helping to advertise for them, 200+ views as I type this.... What really gets me is that I am now oddly compelled to go to their site when I would have never even known about them other than reading it here, damn the spam. Not bashing you for bringing it here, I wish all spammers could be ousted in their own circles, trust me.... I love to send nice personal messages BACK to spammers, I hold no punches, especially when it's those ones that have some snipit of your personal info in the heading making you feel it's nessacary to open it even though you know what's going to happen. What then ends up driving me mad is when the nice personal message i sent back to them, comes BACK to me as undeliverable, I wish thier spam was undelieverable... If there is a hell, I hope there is a special place reserved for spammers.

You are exactly right. And they know it! I sent them an email that they should come here and check out what people think of the way they are conducting business and that they are receiving negative feedback. I sent a link here and received this email back from Ray.

Chris you are going to like this one.

Hi -

Actually, its not negative feedback. Its a post made by a disgruntled
individual who received (2) of our mailings, on (2) of his email addresses,
which he (and or someone within his company) used to register on one
of our classified websites.

Contrary to his claim of not having done so, he has not been forthcoming
to the facts, as his email would not have been obtained, had he not.

His posting actually brings additional exposure to our viable service,
while at the same time, making himself look bad in the choice terminology
and undignified statements that he made.

As is a part of life, you cannot please (and or win over) everyone.

Thank you for your input.

You know, you try to keep thinking that someone maybe just making a mistake...then more and more evidence of sleeze piles up until it becomes a mountain...He's buried himself rather well.

I hate to say it but I think that if you conduct business in a dishonest fashion and a customer uses a forum like the B.O.I. to call you out on it, you are a fool to jump into deep water and respond to the accusations. You are just throwing yourself to the sharks who will rip you up further and further the more you splash around, make noise and get more and more blood in the water, thereby attracting more and more sharks to the feeding frenzy. (notice how sometimes the sharks even start to attack each other) The smart thing for a reptiflimflammer to do is just stay clear of the water altogether. (Hey, I know smart reptiflimflammer is probably an oxymoron)

I think Anibid dude is smart not to appear here and wouldn't have sent that e-mail if he thought it would be posted here (Woopsie!) as the thir paragraph of his e-mail shines a small ray of light on his true nature.

This was listed under the "Cornsnake" listings,

You are bidding on a male corn snake that is black, grey, and white about 3 feet long and a female corn snake that is orange and peach colored and baout 2 1/2 feet long. (Lengths are estimated) They have lived together for at least a year and a half and are about 2 1/2 years old. They come with a 10 gallon tank, water sandstone bowl, heating pad, fluorescent light, screen lid, half log, and remaining repti bark. They are eating fat mice every 2 weeks. I have had them since January 2004 and just do not have time for them like I used to since I have had my baby. I would prefer them to be picked up but will ship if winning bidder arranges shipping (or tells me how to arrange shipping, I have never shipped snakes before). I accept PayPal and money orders. Please email me with questions or to see additinal pictures! Thank you for looking!

Hmmm.... we could probably put three or four more corns in a 10 gallon tank, we just need to load up on "fat mice". It would be funny if it wasn't true.

Mike

I've gotten spammed by them as well, I'm sure I didn't sign up for their garbage mailings. Why would I want to go to their animal auction site when I have recently started one of my own? ;)

Hey Chris, if you want to load up the pistols and go down to Key West let me know. I just need to pick up some ammo, sunblock and a hawaiin shirt.

these spammers are killing me...

I have three different email accounts and they have spaqmmed all three of them atleast twice and i keep telling them to stop. here is the latest...
By the way..where are they getting everyones emails????
At the bottom you will see the link to "unsubscribe which i did before but i keep getting the emails anyway. Time to email thier ISP and complain!!!

I received one of the anibid emails and I know I never signed up for their mailings or whatever they claim you do that allows them access to your email.

Brett,
Have to jump in quick regarding brokers. I am a Mortgage Broker here in PA. BEcause the big banks are slowly pushing little guys like us out we had to go to buying leads. It never fails, we buy these leads from places that claim they only sold the lead to you and no one else will call or that it is a current lead, you call only to find out 20 others have called or it was for someone interested in purchasing, refi-ing two years ago. We've stopped with the leads as i am so against telemarketing and spaming. There are some slimy brokers out there. But alot of us are just using what resources are left to us to try and compete in the big pond with the big fish(banks). The real offenders are these lead companies. Where and how they get their info I dont know. But they make a fortune off brokers buying the leads.

I'd like to know how this AniBid truly got our email addresses. Not that it will stop them. At least with Spam email you can just hit delete whereas with telemarketing it is a bit harder.

Got another message today, responded back with the following:
Spam me again and your ISP will be notified. Many others are already going to report you. Won't be long now before your a-word is shut down. ;)

He responded with the following:
Hi -

I responded with:
You're full of s-word, I can produce at least 3-4 that were sent to me.
Which other websites do you own that I may have signed up on?

To my knowledge the only sites I have signed up to sell animals on are:
Kingsnake
Fauna
Reptibid
The reptibid classifieds site

Well reptibid likely would not setup a competing site. Rich wouldn't spam us. Kingsnake wouldn't spam us. So where exactly does this guy think I signed up?

I did a whois on the domain and it came up with an email address on the reg info that I recognized. It was some shady ass organization but I can't recall what site it was tied to.
