    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Another egg?....sorry

My sons dragon unexpectedly lid eggs 3 weeks ago in her tank she then burried them. We had her at that point for 4 weeks from the pet store. The tank calcium sand stuck to them I dusted off as much as I could and set up an incubator for them. Some have started to mold not deflate though. Because of the orange sand I can not seem to candle the eggs to check. I opened a couple of the molded ones there is a thick clear section and a "cooked" egg yoke section would you say they were all bad? Thanks. Never though of having eggs but all the baby pictures her elook so cute.

I would throw out the moldy eggs asap. The mold can spread to the other eggs and ruin them.

Good eggs will be a whitish color and firm to the touch. Bad eggs will be off colored yellowish brown and just plain gross looking.

I wouldn't hold too much hope in seeing anything this soon by candling the eggs. It's much to soon to see anything inside other than a few veins if your lucky.

You might also be getting another clutch any day now. Most females lay multiple clutches about 22 days a part from each other.

Good luck,

Thank-you for the reply. I just went out tonight and got her a container and filled it with white childs play sand. She has started sleeping more and there seem to be little marbles in her belly. It is 3 weeks today since she laid the others. The first ones were hard to tell if they were white because she laid and buried them in her orange vita-cal sand so they are orange from that. They are firm to the touch but I am not holding much hope on that batch. Should I take them out and sterilize the hobovator before the next batch. Thanks for all the help. Like I said we researched the bearded dragon before we got her but put no thought into her having eggs. I only thought that happened when you brinf hamsters home :).

As a laying medium I would not use sand. I use a mixture of soil and coconut fiber. It holds moisture really well and allows you to form a cave for her to back up in. Also it allows you to easily remove her after laying and grab the eggs up before she buries them. You just have to keep watch over her.

If you think all the eggs from the first clutch are bad I would throw them away. If you think there might be a couple worth saving, go for it!!

Cleaning out the incubator and setting the eggs up in a new containers with fresh incubation medium would be a good idea.
