In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Another great order just arrived from RodentPro.com

As usual, it was professionally packed with lots of insulation and dry ice, in heavy duty cardboard boxes. The 5,000 pinks plus hundreds of hoppers and jumbo mice were frozen solid when I unpacked them. They were shipped when promised and arrived when promised. And their prices are as good or better than anywhere I have seen advertised.

The sizes are all very consistent and look very fresh. They are not vacuum packed (although some of the pinks seemed to be, but not all of them), but I don't think they will last long enough to matter - hatching season is here!

I have been ordering from them for years, but never knew they delivered by Greyhound Bus until a recent thread here on the BOI. Since it was going to save me $32 in shipping, I decided to give it a try. The mice came in exactly when they were supposed to. But they were packed so well that they would have been fine for another day or two if there had been shipping delays caused by Greyhound.

I am very happy with the order and recommend them to anyone looking for frozen rodents.

Rodent pro rocks. My order is coming tomorrow shipped throught greyhound also its much cheaper. As always packed nicely and rock hard on arrival.

Thanks for posting this!
I was considering ordering from them, but wasn't sure. And that's a great tip about Greyhound!

I have made two orders from Rodent Pro. Both times they provided superior service, great packaging, accurate rodent size, and answered all my questions. I also used the Greyhound shipping option, they arrived frozen solid, the dry ice was gone but they were far from thawed. They provide a super service at a great price, I will continue to buy from them.

My understanding is that the Greyhound service is not as dependable time-wise as UPS. So it might not come exactly when you expect it (although mine arrived as promised). Since you have to go to Greyhound to get it, order on a week when you are flexible as to which days you can go get it. But if it does arrive late, RodentPro still guarantees the condition of the rodents. And going as far as California (RodentPro is in Indiana), you will probably save even more than I did when shipping to Florida.

I didn't order as many rodents as Kathy Love but I had an order arrive yesterday as well, and they treated my meager order just as well. Everything perfectly frozen and well wrapped.

It was fun playing with the dry ice after putting everything away, too :)

I just signed up for an account with them. Seem to be the cheapest online. I can buy 100 and pay .50 per mouse after shipping or visit the pet store and pay $1.00 a mouse.

I remember a guy in St. Augustine Florida years ago of US 1 who breeds mice on a large scale. I'm going to check to see if he is still there. If not I will use these guys.

I see this is the most recent Rodent Pro post here and not ever having had an issue with them in the past I need to ask...has anyone recently had any problems with late orders and late invoicing from them??
I placed my order on 6/6 and still have no food for my snakes. I am very dissappointed and have even e-mailed them twice far any explanation or compensation for the fact I had to purchase food for my snakes at top dollar elsewhere so they could eat. No reply  .
Just wondering if this is a one time incident and since they will not reply I am asking you all.
I usually do not even pay for shipping, I just pick up at the show here but I REALLY NEEDED FOOD right away and I was very careful to place the order in time to get my feeders for their next feeding. Not angry, just dissappointed since in about a week I could have just picked them up.

When you ordered you should have received an e-mail with the expected ship date.

My last order was done on 6/5 and arrived on 6/13 - but, if I'm not mistaken, they only ship on tuesdays - so if 6/6 was after the cutoff for 6/12 shipping then they wouldn't be shipped until today - to arrive tomorrow.

If you did not receive any e-mails, check your spam filters and make sure [email protected] is whitelisted (I just whitelist *@rodentpro.com) - if you received an e-mail stating a ship date and it didn't arrive, I'd try calling them.

Did you do greyhound or UPS?

I'm guessing that they didn't have your order ready to ship on 6/12.
They should have contacted you, but I'm guessing they have been swamped with orders from people like me anticipating june and july hatchlings.

I would call them, I suspect your order will be shipped today but I would call them.
Damn I wish I could get your shipping cost - I pay ~ $70 to get a box sent to California. Sure beats the hell out of $1.50 per pinky though (yes, that's what local pet store charges - for a freakin' pinky. Also what they charge for a mouse.)

Still no reply to my e-mails but I did get my 3rd and final e-mail even though they have not answered my calls, returned my calls, or e-mailed me back.
Again...this is just dissappointing to me because I have not had issues with them before and I think when a customer calls AND e-mails about an order they were told would be sent on time...well, they could at least address the issue. I am a single mom of 3 teens who works full time and is in RN school full time and has 20 some animals and I am not rich. Purchasing from them is usually the easiest thing to do and I just lost $50 because I had to go buy food here locally for just one feeding. I wish they would at least e-mail me rather than sending generic e-mails. :( As a repeat customer I suppose I was just expecting too much....very very dissappointing.
I have no doubt they will arrive tomorrow and be packaged perfectly...but it is week later than I was needing them.

I hate shipping charges...I could never pay $70 :ack2: uck!! LOL
Thank you for you help. I will continue to do business with them but I will probably plan way in advance now and buy at the AllOhio show so I know when I will have them. ;)

I buy all my frozen rodents from Rodentpro as well. I have had them shipped and I have picked them up at shows and have been very happy using both methods. Like most businesses they might make mistakes occasionally, but they have always fixed them without a problem.

My order arrived in perfect condition and frozen solid today. :) I also received a phone message at home to say he had been out of the small rats so he shipped the next week. Everyone will have plenty to eat for a while now and I will continue to buy my feeders from RodentPro!!
I just need to plan ahead and try not to run out again.

oh yeah, I wanted to mention Casey called on the 18th and I did not get the message until today, so I was wrong when I thought I was not getting any replies  . I have 3 teen girls and I do not answer the home phone nor do I check my messages there since it is so rarely for me. LOL

I was very happy with my Rodentpro order in march '07.

Their online price/shipping quote calculator is just fantastic, it lets you know how to maximize the box space and how close you are to quantity discounts.

I used the greyhound delivery, saving on shipping. I had a very large order, four boxes. I guess greyhound sometimes splits up shipments with more than one box, I got the last three about four hours after the first one arrived, but the insulation was so good most of the dry ice was still there. Even though I had to go twice to greyhound, the savings on shipping was well worth it.

The rats are not vaccuum packed, but IMO it doesn't make any real difference...once you open a vaccuum sealed bag, it's not sealed anymore anyway...

The rats (about1,200 in all) were the correct size, just like the pictures on their website.

They always have some good special going on their website on different sizes of rodents, so check the website now and then and you can save even more money, this is what I plan to do for future purchases.

I've heard nothing but good about Rodentpro. Everyone makes mistakes, but they always seem to fix them promptly, which seperates them from the rest IMO. I'd use them any day.

Man, that's a dozen crickets here.

Order was perfect.

My first order from Rodent Pro was sent perfectly packed and delivered on time. Paul Yancick
