In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Any chevy guys here?

I think this engine will go very well with my STS twin turbos that are already on the car.....

Some of the stuff on this list is obviously just to keep remind myself and my wrencher about things that aren't really performance oriented, but are being done anyway. I figure that since the entire drivetrain is out of the car anyway, why not replace nearly everything?

Here's a video of the engine that will be going in...

And here's one of the drivetrain extraction....

I'm hoping to get the car back by mid January. Ran into a snag when a machining error was found on the heads that kept the intake manifold from bolting up. So the engine went back to LME and the heads then went to World Products to be replaced with new ones.

Sounds nice, cant view videos on the ship. Might make a good race one day. I know I have my tiny motor going in and all BUT http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=70570

I am not sure if you are setting up for drag or curves?

Actually, neither. Just for bragging rights....

Seriously, when I die I can lay in my death bed thinking I had a twin turbo charged 427 Corvette. My tuner/wrencher believes the car will be putting down around 850 rwhp.....

Anyway, to explain, I sold off most of my gun collection last year and intended to use that money to buy a brand new Z06 right before I retired. Just couldn't find the car I wanted at the price I was willing to spend, so instead I just decided to have the drivetrain pulled out of my 2002 Z06 and replaced with something better. MUCH better!

I may take it to the strip sometime just to see what sort of quarter mile timeslip I get, but this is just a hobby/toy to play with. I've really got no interest in racing, and this is all in fun. Actually I believe that some Mustangs I have heard have absolutely the BEST sounding exhaust of any cars I have ever heard. Just luck of the draw that I have never owned one. So I'm not really into that Ford vs GM thing... :D

I love all american muscle and sports cars. The GM Killer tag is and old thing between me and some of my friends back in the day who all owned transams and z28's. I am shooting for 700-750 to the wheels on pump gas and methanol injection. However being in the navy this isnt going to be an over night thing because of lack of money. I do want to finish the car within the next year and a half though. Maybe after next deployment? Ill check out those videos when I get home tomorrow. Obviously I like trunk cars better than hatches. Thats one thing I like about the z06. I wish they made a trunk version of the new ones.

Yeah, that's one of the issues with the C6 generation of Corvette. Not enough visual distinction between the models. Even the ZR-1 is tough to tell unless you are genuine Corvette fanatic. So then GM comes out with the new Grand Sport model, which will be nearly impossible to tell from a Z06, even by those people in the know, unless they catch those minor visual cues.

And to be perfectly honest, I think the interiors on the C6s, unless you pay the bucks for the custom leather interior, is inferior to that of the C5s. That was one of the things that stymied my plan on getting a C6 Z06. Unless I could get that custom interior option (3LZ), I wasn't interested in getting one. Apparently the dealers felt that this option was a life saver for them, and they had a death grip on that on-lot stock while sales were pretty much non-existent. I believe those cars are still on their lots nearly a year later....

Anyway, good luck with your build. Post pics when you can...

Nice videos. It is funny that I got into an argument a while back with a chevy guy. He said that the transmission was NOT in the back on those cars.

That's a pretty big turbo! Mine are much smaller then that. I wanted them to spool up quickly so I went with smaller exhaust chambers. If I can ever get that engine build done, I may have to go to bigger turbos just because of the increase in air being moved around.

But World Products is giving me the run-around about the heads, so I'm not sure at this point whether that is going to happen or not. I'm about ready to just cancel the whole deal and forget about it. My car has been in the shop since late October, with no end in sight yet. I'm about ready to put my LS6 back in and call it a day.....

Shops are good at that. A guy on my forum has had his twin turbo 363 getting a "tune" before I left for my 7 month deployment. It is still there. Every week they tell him it will be done this week. No lie.

Little update.

Got the supercharger installed. Still saving up for the new shortblock.
