• In case most of you have not noticed, I made changes to the donation amounts as well as the durations for all of the paid membership levels. Things are winding down here, and this seems to be the most prudent way to deal with the "end of life" period of this site.

    Contributor level members - $10 per 30 days
    Sponsors - Eliminated
    Benefactor level members - $25 per 30 days
    Endowment level members - $50 per 30 days

    On July 1, 2027, all paid memberships will be closed.

    On August 1, 2027, FaunaClassifieds will be terminated.

    Only change I expect that might take place is when I can get around to figuring out when the amount of money I would have to refund for the yearly paid memberships becomes less than the monthly expense of leasing my server, THAT date might be the termination date for the site.
  • Responding to email notices you receive.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I have recently started the Arcadia collection by John Courtney-Smith. I also recently finished Understanding Reptile Parasites by Klingenberg. There are some more on my list that I am waiting to get, but I was wondering if any of you had some favorites! Thanks in advance!
 
Look at all the books by Ludwig Trutnau. His best one in my opinion is a book called venomous snakes: snakes in the terrarium, but unfortunately it’s nearly impossible to find

Thank you so much! I'll see what I can find if his. I've been keeping hots and looking into adding another one to my family soon so if I get lucky to find a copy of that one it'll be great timing!
 
If I ever get up enough ambition to go through the headache, I will likely sell off my entire herp book collection sometime. I am doubtful I will ever need all of them ever again, as very unlikely I will ever open one up to read ever again. Actually, just the thought of having to pack up and ship out packages maybe containing only one or two of them at a time just makes my head want to explode. But maybe someday I will get bored enough to do it. Heck, I guess I could attend a large herp show, if any of them still exist, to sell them that way, but lord, what a hassle that would be. Especially if I wound up bringing most of them back home with me, being unsold.

Idk how many books you have but if you're interested in selling the whole lot let me know! I've started to enjoy collecting them. Feel free to pm me a price and how many books.
 
That's incredible! My collection looks wimpy now 😅 I love seeing how the information evolves over time, plus these resources have so much more information than a lot of the 'internet reptile experts' out there
