In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Any ideas for custom cage?

Was thinking about having one of the local Amish guys build a few display cages for me, was wondering if anyone could help me come up with any ideas... ie: materials, sliding or hinged doors, what kind of wood, how big. Im a woman and need some personal opinions! lol.

I use to be a small breeder of BPs when living in South Florida, had to give them up when moving to Upstate New York. Now, I currently have 2 babies and will soon be receiving quiet a few more. I also need friends in the bp world lol. Someone who can understand me on this topic, unlike my uneducated (in the reptile world) significant other.

Someone save me! I can't think straight anymore. Do I have to buy your friendship lmao!:?party:

Wood typically isnt used anymore due to its pourousness
Melamine is a good subtitute for cheap but doesnt last forever
( its like what closet shelfs are made of, pressed fibers with white iron on siding. )

I would recommend sliding glass or acrylic ( acrylic scratches easier then glass ) on aluminum channels.

A hinged door just means you need space in front of the cage to open it.

Another material you can use is Pressed PVC boards.
glued together into a rack
with cheap sterilite bins you can pull in and out

A google search for how to build a PVC snake rack or how to build a Melamine Snake cage should come up with some results

these are all just thoughts.
I personally use freedom breeder rack systems but those can be quite pricey.

hope this helps:thumbsup:

If you were local id sell you my old Melamine rack.
but shipping would be outrageous lol

Im not ready for breeder rack with tubs just yet. I was thinking more of the display case type of cage... Similiar to one you would see at a chain store type. ie: PetCo, PetsMart etc.
