In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Any info on THESNAKEDEN?

They are 47 miles from me, which is why I opened their ad. What stuck out in the Boa ad was the phrase "newly hatched." They also had an ad that basically stated to email them what you were looking for, and they probably had it????? They also have a Clown Ball pair for sale, but have no scale to weigh them. Things may be legit, but so far, things do not add up. Anyone have any info?

I would go and see the animals in person since they are close.

When I got my het pied BP's, I drove 150 miles to see the parents and offspring in person since they were not too far away and I had never heard of the seller before.

Not having a scale is not a deal breaker. Up until 2 weeks ago, I had a scale but now I need a new one (knocked the stupid thing off the table). If someone asked me to weigh an animal tonight, I wouldn't be able to. I could give the last weight but not the current.

Wow!
Those are some really high end animals.

Man, I would make sure I had pics and weights of everything and if I had that collection available for sale.

Someone must have done business with him in the past in order for him to be able to offer these animals for sale. If he can't provide references for those top end animals, I would steer clear.

Big difference in what he is offering and me going to check out pieds.

We'll see

On my way out of town to pick up a few animals. I sent the guy this email and we'll see what his reply will be. My guess Dave is that you have routed out another big fish story =)

"I am interested in your butter. This is one of the most sought after morphs and very few have them. Please send me current pics with a newspaper from the town in which you live as a backdrop. Not that I dont believe you have one, but I know almost every person with one. Also your asking price. My email is [email protected] , I am assuming since you own a 30,000 dollar snake that pics won't be hard to produce. Thanks

Jeff"

Being as he just joined the other day, (Join Date: 09-01-2005) I'd be even more weary. It would not surprise me if you were denied to see the animals if you requested to.

There have been a couple real winners in the Ball Python section over the last week. I especially like the 2 guys from Nigeria, their ads instill a sense of confidence....not!

I did ask Nigeria Larry for some pictures of his available albinos and pieds, taken on a newspaper so that I could see the date, for some reason he hasn't yet replied back to my inquiry....

The other Nigerian gentleman was nice enough to run his ad as an auction. With his increible selection of mutations available I didn't want to miss out, so I bid $100,000. As soon as he contacts me after auction end, I will let him know that I will be paying via cashiers check in the amount of $150,000. He will just need to cash the check and Western Union me the balance. As for shipping, no worry as my agent will contact him and schedule a pick up of the animals...... :)

Do not be surprised if you receive nigerian death threats for trying to scam a scammer....

Now the Butterball is showing as sold to Snakebiz01.

The funny thing is I have been trying to buy 1.1 pieds from Snakebiz01 but have been getting the runaround. No pictures, an unverifiable address, and a disconnected phone number. I was going to fly accross the country to CA to bring him cash and pick them up but he insists that I overnight half the money to a guy in AR before I come and keeps pushing the day back.

I swear I saw the same ads...

one by snakebiz, then like a day or two later, the same ad by snakesden. They live 47 miles from me, I would be more than happy to go check out their stock, but I believe I would be wasting my $3.09 per gallon gas.

Uh huh

Just got home Dave and man are these new ones amazing!!!!! Posting pics on KS now.

yes that is not a problem, i completly understand you wanting everything, i
dont have any memory for my digital camera, but what i can do is take a film
picture and scan it on, is that ok?? obviously give me a day or so to
develop it, thanks!!

I think you definately weeded another one out for sure. Was he going to scan a pic of someones butter, then paste it over a copy of his newspaper?? Im sure thats what he meant . :)

Bogus and deceitful ads, ought to have an imediate ban placed on their ip addy, at an attempt at reducing theft that is becoming more and more rampant. Just a thought.

Rare situation, most people either have one or they don't. The diff is you have the rep and lasting presence here to show that you aren't lying about the scale and aren't scamming. Not only that if you tried to screw me I'd be at your house in about 20 mins, I live nearby. I'd be picking up anyway, scale in hand.

Most people that have tens of thousands of dollars worth of snakes have a scale. Any that don't (doubtful) would be more than happy to run out to Staples and buy a $50 scale to close a $20k deal.

That's hysterical.

Oh, hell yes. If the exact weight was an issue, I would go to the store right away, buy the scale, and email the buyer back ASAP.

What I don't get was why didn't the guy just steal a pic of someone's snake on a scale? He could post the pic of the snake on the scale for the ad to thwart any question about weights. Scammers, not too bright. Of course the only reason they scam is because they were too dumb or too lazy to work at McDonalds.
