    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Any lepidus and klauberi keepers out there?

Just wondering if there are any other lepidus and klauberi enthusiasts out there? Let me know and we can talk some leps and klaubs!

I keep a small group of lepidus, lep leps. They are great little snakes, I really enjoy working with them.

I hope to add some klauberi at some point as well. I currently have some from the pandale locality and some from route 277. The female I posted the pic of is from Sutton county.

Here's some pandale babies I produced in 2004. These were cbb here, not from a wc gravid female.
Unfortunately one died within 24 hours, but the other two are still doing well and a year old.

Nice pictures! I thought the first pic was a Sutton. I just received 4 Suttons (3 months old) and they are really nice. How long have you been producing leps?

Actually that was my first successful season. I had gotten copulation before but no offspring. Inducing ovulation seems to be the harder part. The males are generally willing breeders, but if the females don't ovulate then it's for nothing.
I didn't attempt to breed them last year, but am pairing them up now. Those babies were the product of breeding that took place in the fall of 03, and they were born the following fall. I've seen some courtship so far this year but no definate copulation.
