In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am looking to get a small Smooth Front that is currently only 8 inches long and my plan was to keep it in a 40 Gal Breeder set up as a semi aquatic tank for its first year or two dependent on growth till its big enough to safely go into its permanent set-up. Any real draw back to this?

If there is plenty of room, then nope. Id just be concerned on size. They grow kinda quick at first.

Ps nice to see ya over here.

I am building a set-up in my garage that is plenty big, my issue is that I have a few very nippy Turtles going into it as well and I don't want him in here will he is small enough that they could poise an danger

You dont recognize me do u?
i know your stock, or at least a good bit. Your not putting this with ur main stock are u?

LOL of course I know you from MFK, and no its none of my rare stuff, just a few Sliders and Cooters LMAO. I am wanting to do something similar to your set up in a garage, though a bit smaller LOL, but I was going to throw my Sliders in it as well since they have no real value outside of being for display. They are roughly the same size as the Caiman so I am worried they might be an issue till it packs on size, also yeah I would like to display him in my home while he is still small enough to do so. But if that would stress him out, I of course would rather not do that and that is my main concern.

Ok. Lol. I thought I was easy to recognise. Lol.
i personally wouldnt hesitate to raise it in a tank before putting it with them. Def get it bigger first
turts can bite caiman tails and.toes.

And yeah your easy to recognize, everytime I see a post from you my mouth salivates thinking of peanut butter LOL

Well LP I ordered my caiman, could be here tomorrow. I had no luck find a baby one at all, so the one I am getting is a little over two feet long. Oh well, a bit bigger than expected and it means I need to get in gear building its set-up because all I have now is a empty 75 Gal for it, but that should only take a few weeks

Oh yeah and it should be here Tuesday now, he wasn't able to get Fedex to come in time today to pick it up and he didn't want it sitting in their center over the weekend which I didn't either LOL

He emailed me again to confirm and he is now stating it could be a Wedgehead which would be awesome, cross fingers for me

Tend to be more active and dont look fugly as adults(cuviers do). I personally prefer the plates on smooth front

Plus I have a smooth front.

Yep LOL
