    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I had a trade going with this guy, he contacted me and we texted untill we set up a time and place to meet up, the morning of the meet (yesterday) he was still texting me, then, about 3 hours before our meet time at 2PM I don't hear from him untill around 2:50. Keep in mind I had been sitting in my car for almost an hour in a hotel parking lot, with my family after a 45 minute drive. I then recieved a text from him saying he "Could probably be there in about an hour or so" I responded "Okay, try to hurry my family is getting irritated" he then told me to take them home and he will come to me. I agreed and at 6;15 I got a text saying he was going to be on his way shortly. I prepped my snake and awaited for him to reply with an estimated arrival time. He lives about an hour away. By 9:00PM I still hadn't heard from him and assumed he wasn't comming. At around 9:30 he texted me saying he got caught up and left is phone in his truck at home. He then asked if he can stop by tomorrow and around what time, I told him anytime after 7PM and got no reply. So on to today Monday 8-13-12 I texted him at around noon and asked if we were still meeting here, he said yes and that his truck was broken so he needed to grab a rental or borrow his fathers truck. I said Okay and went on with my day expecting a text stating when he was leaving or on his way. He has been unresponsive since and it is now after 9PM and I don't think he's comming. Has anyone out there delt with this guy before? This is the third time we were supposed to meet and the third time he hasn't showed up.
 
That's weird because I met him on Saturday guy was there and on time. I talked to him for 15 min or so seems like a good guy
 
i have an animal on hold for him. He says he sent payment, but it has been a while even for standard postal.

i will post if the money order comes in.

I texted and kept in contact with you the whole time. I also had told you not to leave I would let you know an hour before I could leave. You said you car dictated when you could leave. Howard you postal money order was sent out and should be there soon.
I have all the text messages and as you know I was with my family too from the beginning I said I wasn't sure when I would be able to meet.

i meant nothing negative or positive. i was simply going to reply with how the transaction went when completed since there was an info thread.

I was simply concerned about the hours of no communication when I was expecting you, like Howard said I ment nothing positive or negitive, I was just inquiring if anybody else had had transactions like this in the past and how they ended up.
 
I actually sent out three postal money orders on that same day and none have arrived yet. I also shipped a fishing reel and that still hasn't arrived. My post office is a little understaffed. Lol
 
While I can't comment on the honesty of Mr DeMasi's claim, I can attest to the sometimes pitiful performance of our postal system....a few months back, it took 20 days for a check to get from TX to NY (going by postmark to delivery date).
For future reference, it's a good idea to use Priority Mail *at a minimum* when sending payment...in some cases, Express Mail would be the better choice.
 
We also had an animal on hold and payment never showed up. I sent him an email asking if things were ok and if he was still interested and never heard anything back.
 
I guess that I am the 3 money order he sent out as I am also awaiting payment on an animal. Hopefully they all arrive soon. I have not contacted him as I saw this thread on here. Hopefully we all get our payments soon.
 
I am not holding your animal any longer. Tuesday will be 2 weeks since you said you sent the money. I would advise sellers to make sure you get payment/ nonrefundable deposits upfront from this guy. And, certainly do not ship first since he has trade ads up in the ball classifieds.

I understand you can't hold it any longer but I cannot have the post office trace the money order untill 30 days has passed. If it arrives and the animal is gone please send it back or I could put it towards another animal. Thanks.

Hopefully this isn't too off topic...In the future it might be smart to send the money order Certified Mail (or Fedex/UPS with tracking). The post office is pretty unreliable when it comes to transit times. At least with Certified Mail, the seller gets confirmation that payment has been sent.
 
Or he could at least let the seller know what is going on. I never heard anything back, even after I sent an email asking for an update.
 
Sorry to all on the spotty communication. I was just mislead on a few trade deals and got a few animals that were not what they should have been. I've been trying to sort my thought do my research and just being plain depressed. I hope all the money orders show soon and I know next time to send certified mail rather than putting it in an envelope with a stamp. Again my fault and sorry.
 
One way to solve the mystery of the lost mail is to post your postal money order recipes that you got when you purchased them.there is also the tear off on each money order.

Like someone else has said,if the animals were so important for you to purchase you should have at least sent them priority or express with delivery conformation then sent the sellers a tracking #.

My thoughts here is Sal is giving you guys the old run around.I could be wrong but maybe not.
