I did a trade with him over the summer Eveything went off NP. I sent him two normal ball pythons aand he sent me a very nice Red tail boa. I shipped first. he shipped the day he got the balls

the boa i got from him was very nice. it did NOT have any mites or anything i would post a pic but i have no camera. I still have the snake and he's a buddy

I emailed him a few days ago about maybe doing a trade for the "Salmon" he has for sale...he was real prompt with getting back to me and even sent me pics of the snakes...nice enough I guess... Only problem I had with him is I was expecting to see a Hypo...not just a light colored Normal...just my .02 on the subject...

Just to defend myself a bit.. The Salmon is a Salmon, Not a light normal.. My camera is not the best thats for sure.. But I am not advertising a snake I do not have.. I will get a friends camera and get a better Pic and post it for you..

snake & gater inc.

I'm currently doing a trade John Manfre of snake & gater inc.
He is supposed to ship the first of next week.. In all communications I have had with him seem very straight forward with no run around generally very bussiness like. He had no problems shipping first so I will let you know what his snakes look like next week, but I feel like they will look good.
 
John Manfre and I made a trade that I consider good. He had a small delay shipping due to personal reasons that I wont post , but was kept well informed about the situation from his wife and himself. The animal was of good quality and properly packaged. I would not hesitate to do business with him again. Good luck John.

I made a trade with John Manfre (SnakeAGater). His end of the trade was suppose to arrive today. (He stated in email that they have been shipped) It's now 9:00pm and I have not gotten anything from him, and have never gotten a tracking number.
I have attempted contact with him several times with no response, even though I have seen him here in the forums.
If there is a good reason as to why I have not gotten my end of the trade (he already has my animals) then I will be sure to note it here along with my apology...but until then this is how it stands....???

Snake & Gator

John and I made a trade about 6 weeks ago. I drove out to meet him and we traded my 7ft female Colombian Red Tail Boa for his 10ft female slightly aberrant patterned Burmese Python. I have pictures of her, and I can take some of her eating, if one so desires proof of this.

Not only was the snake I got from him healthy, but he waited a full two weeks for me to come get her. My furnace blew and although he had others interested in her, he held her for me. Anyone else would have told me what I can do with my excuses and went their merry way. Colombian Red Tails aren't exactly hard to come by.

I think people are a bit too quick to get angry and negative on here. I see about 10% good posts and 90% bad posts, which, while it does help with warning us of "scam artists", it also hurts a good guy's business.

Imagine if you were a NEW and SMALL business just getting off the ground. Things go wrong. Your kids get sick. Your woman wants a new car, hers died. Your dog runs away. You have a life outside of your business and because you are not making money from this business your life outside of it takes up a lot more of your time. You don't have time and you are FAR from making enough money to make the time, to be waiting by the phone and computer for every little email and phone call. I am sure John has a full time job and children that he has to think of FIRST. If he doesn't answer his phone a few times or takes a day to answer an email, who cares? He is not claiming to be a huge business. He is doing the best he can with what he has. EVERY ONE starts out like this. Before you come crying here, make sure you need to. If he sends you a dead snake or never sends at all, then you have a reason. But if it's a day or two late, and he has an actual reason, that's fine. He does not have 30 employees to do his shipping for him. He does not have a 24 hour 1800 number to call in questions. He has himself. Just remember he probably has kids to feed, and he has never claimed to be a company the size of Bob Clark.

I know people like to watch others fall. But why here? Why can't it just be a place where actual bad people get "outed" and good people get a chance to make?

Yes I am a bleeding heart. I watched my father struggle for years trying to get his construction business off the ground. He didn't make it because he was fair and honest with his customers. He was underbidded all the time by dirtbags who ended up screwing the people they did the work for. This world is crying out for "good guys" while at the same time, killing them.

Now that I have made myself look fully like a rambling moron, I will shut up!

That's really nice of you Mr. Jason Parrish. Start posting bad about me after only 8 hours. A personal trouble did come up. You are getting you dragons back ASAP. I don't want to deal with someone like you. I don't need your business. And just to let everyone know Mr. Jason Parrish did not call my house to find out what was going on, he E-mailed. My account is dial-up therefore unless I sign on, I do not know about new emails. The more appropriate thing in his situation would be to call me immediately, not email.

I did a trade with John and everything went well. I traded 5 female dragons for the salmon boa. She was as promised, and I would do business with him again.

I just wanted to update my post, and to on purpose make a butt of myself as I said I would if I was wrong..lol
I have spoken with John and he does have a very good reason for my animals not arriving. Seems there was a mix up on who they were sold to (between husband and wife), and he went out of his way (about a six hour drive in fact) to make sure he had the two animals to send to me as promised.
I just wanted to say where everyone could see it.

JOHN, I am sorry for jumping the gun and not giving you some extra time to see why they did not arrive....Thank you for going out of your way to see this trade through, and I hope we can continue as planned.

John has been very straight forward in his emails to me since I posted last. He is a good guy in my book.
Shipping has been rescheduled for after the holidays. At that time, I will be sure to post about the good quaility of the animals I get. As I am sure they will be.

Just wanted to let everyone know I just recieved the suriname from Snakeagater. She is beautiful .. Would not hesitate to do business with John in the future.
 
I just wanted to post an update on my trade with SnakeAgater...
I have still not received anything from him.
After the first troubles with our trade (as mentioned further up in this thread) we rescheduled shipping for Tues. Dec 3rd. I never got the snakes (the tracking number never worked). I contacted him about it and by his word Airborne says they lost the package. He has told me that he purchased asset protection for the package so I am currently waiting to hear from him or Airborne on the matter...
Will update this when something further is known...

Note* my animals were shipped to him on Nov 25th..

A further update. I just finished talking with Airborne myself for the second time. They have no record of a package being sent to me from Snakeagater..no asset protection being purchased for said package..and no record of a claim for a lost package being filed.
I have tryed to contact you several times John and still have gotten no response from you on this. It's been a month now lets get this finished..
 
Would anyone that has done a trade with John Manfre (Snakeagater) please contact me if you have any contact info for him.
I have one phone number for him that I have tried, but have not been able to contact him for several weeks..by phone or email.
He got my animals on the 26th of Nov. and I never got anything from him. I would like to try and track him down to get my animals back. Jason Parrish
