    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Anyone have a gecko like this?

I hatched this girl out last summer from my BBB group. Her father is a Bell het blizzard her mother a blizzard her Bell. Neither of them have any hypo genes that I know of. She hatched out as a banded normal but quickly began to transform; turning shades of green (including her eyes) and then the banded pattern changed to this stripe down the back. I have been calling her a Speckle stripe for lack of a better name. Anybody out there have something like her? The transformation was very much like what you would see in a SHTCT so maybe that's all it is but I have been breeding geckos for nearly 20 years and have never seen this pattern before.
Just curious...

Thanks Kelli. Guess I'll move this discussion to the classified section then and see if I can locate a similar looking male. I doubt it though.

I hope you weren't insulted by my comments, I was only being truthful. I've been breeding leopard geckos for a long time, so I've seen a ton of variation. Good luck finding a male for her. If I see one, I'll let you know.

Nope

No, I wasn't offended at all.
I wasn't trying to imply that I thought I had hatched some new morph or something. I just thought she was a cool looking accident and I am assuming it will require some selective breeding to reproduce. I probably should have just put it in the classifieds because I was genuinely interested in acquiring more like her to speed up that process.
To be honest, I have gotten frustrated with the geckos because I have put so much effort into producing multi-gene combinations then I go set up at a show and the only ones people notice are the darn normals! Nobody cares about giant this or snow that, they go straight to the 'pretty' yellow and black spotted ones. Nothing wrong with that...but for me breeding normals is boring.
I guess I was hoping I could could start a project that held a little interest for me as a breeder and people might want the end result.
