    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have received an inquiry about one of my animals for sale from a "Fally Cole". The body of the e-mail is suspicious to me (as far as how this individual wants to pay, etc.) and I was wondering if anyone has sold to/ done business with this individual? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I've received similar emails, but not for reptiles just as a scam in general. These must originate from another country (based on the grammar and overall nonsensical language). But I wonder: just what can they do with the information they are requesting? It's the kind of info you can find in a phone book. There's no mention of a SS# or credit card info, so I'm wondering what kind of damage could they do?

they send you "extra" money and ask that you return the money thats over, and when the check that they sent you ends up being bad your screwed out of whatever you sent them

Nigerian scammers have been pulling these types of scams for years, they use "AM" a lot as most have no idea how to type or speak proper English.
Many originate in Nigerian cafes and in Ghana and other countries too but those two in particular are infested with scammers.
They've have used dating sites, ebay, auction sites, craigslist and many others for years with that same ploy and to the tune of over a billion dollars every year!
They only need to sucker in a small percentage of people to rake in a huge income.
I used to belong to anti-scammers clubs and would scam the scammers to keep them from scamming real people.
They hate it when you waste huge amounts of their time knowing they are scammers and getting cussed out in native tongue is kind of funny :rolleyes:
Most all of them are guys, even the ones that scam men.
They act like women as Nigerian women are not allowed into internet cafes at night(our day) and that's when all the men scam away :angry:
 
Wow, that's interesting. I didn't even think about it being foreign....I actually have come across folks with grammar and language this poor :(
