    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Just wanted to add my experience with Leslie. She put an ad in Turtletimes for a certain kind of turtle, and sent me pictures. The first set was kind of blurry, so I asked her to send me another set. This time it was more clear but the turtle was kind of far away. So, I really couldn't see the marking that well. So, I went ahead and sent a cashier's check for it. The more and more I looked at the picture it didn't seem like that type of turtle(certain type of Map turtle) I wanted. So, I described to her what this type of turtle should look like. As soon as I described it, she knew it wasn't what I was looking for. She acknowledged that it was her error and reassured me as soon as the cashier's check came she would send it right back to me. I received the check back, even a phone call to let me know it was on it's way back. So, I had a pleasant experience with her. This took place within the last two weeks.

I am glad to now report that our situation has come to a peaceful and satisfactory close with her sending the money order to refund the cost of the turtles never received. Thanks to everyone who had input and interest. Charlie:wavey: :wavey:
 
leslie is a good person!

i was very surprised to hear that anyone could of had problems with leslie. i have personally done business with her many times and have only had great experiences with her. she has always been prompt at shipping and has always stood behind her reptiles. as far as not getting all of your turtles, i can not say yes or no, because i dont have proof either way. but speaking from experience i would recomend leslie to anyone looking for healthy top quality water turtles.
i have been in contact with her recently and can vouch for the fact that she sent charlie a refund for the turtles that he didnt get even though she belives it was some kind of big mix up. i also know that when she sent him his money back that he refused to send her the turtles back( even the ones he claimes were in such poor health). so basically leslie paid this man to take her turtles. i am not calling charlie a liar about not getting all of the turtles agreed upon, as i said before i have no solid proof either way, but you would think that after the big stink about the "terriable health" of the ones he claims to have recived he would at least send them back to her when she refunded $ 50 of the $65 he paid for the turts. i am not sure about the shipping cost (if that was added or not), but that just doesnt seem fair ...:(

I have the UPS label from the box delivered and a statement from UPS and the shipping center stating ONLY ONE BOX was shipped if you shipped two you need to track it, please refer to your emails to me which list ONLY ONE tracking number, all I want is what I paid for or to be refunded for what was not delivered.

Well, I have heard through personal email from her, she said she is still looking for tracking #,,, I sent a scanned copy of the label from the box... stating one box of one. Just letting everyone know what is going on with this and keeping you up to date. If she finds the tracking number then she needs to deal with ups about the mistake, in anycase a refund for the turtles not received is a fair compromise, no more no less

Mr. Gaither was refunded for items he did NOT receive. Hence the reason he did not send any turtles back. It seems to me that things have ended in a fair manner.

whoa..slow down

while i do appreciate your time to post a reply shar, i think that charlie, gayle and i came to a good close. i had also asked for the sick turtles back at first, but then decided that if charlie wanted to keep them that that was fine with me. as long as charlie and gayle are happy with the outcome, then i am happy too.
i did not pay charlie to take my turtles. he was not happy and a refund was fair. onec again, thanks for the good guy post for me. but as far as this matter goes, it is all over with the buyers happy..thats all i was worried about....
