In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Anyone know who MM is? Stonewash??

Ad on KS shows a "Stonewashed" Pastel for sale, looks pretty normal to me. Anyone know who this is, the price is $500 plus, which is WAY off for a REAL Stonewash.

Dave

The ad is either a joke or a scam. I emailed them and let them in on a few of my thoughts.

I'm glad you posted this, I was gonna, but everytime I start a thread like this I get called a bunch of names and wind up with a few threats...

Nice to see others willing to call these donkeys out...Thanks Dave

Below is a pic of thier "stonewashed pastel"

If it is even a pastel, I'd have to say its a very low end animal at best......

NOT!!

That is not a stone washed pastel.
That is not a pastel at all.
Maybe they posted the wrong pic in the ad & don't know it
I sure hope so.

Here is a pic of a real pastel just for comparison.

Hey all,

Don't jump TOO fast... from what I can see that pic appears to be TWO different Ball Pythons. The 'inner' one very well could be a Pastel (the yellow laterals and small amount of center blush on the black pattern does seem to support it). Not a great looking one, but not all of them look great. Hopefully who ever it is will post a more definitive pic, since that pic is a poor way to judge the snake in question. As far as being Stonewashed?! Well, the jury is still out on that... need more info to make that determination. As far as who "mm =" is? I have NO idea...

MM

Hello everyone I was in contact with this person because they had a few animals I was interested in and I spoke to him on the phone also he told me his name was Lawrence Honan and he lives in New Jersey he also sent that pic to me but told me she was already sold but now she must be back up for sale hope this helps Paul Wyble

If it was a pastel; he would be asking more than $500.00 for it. It's a normal with some blushing (alot of normals have blushing). Spend the extra 300-400 & get a real pastel from a reputable breeder.

I'm even more confused now. The seller "MM" is Aaron Luxenberg. He just emailed me back and stated

pardon me whoever this is, but those are the best pictures i can get and i didnt post to have people critique my animals and also i didnt post to have someone curse at me and call me a scam artist. I have seen false pastels and trust me mine is as real as it gets, so dont give me any attitude about the quality of my animals.

I'm not positive, but that name rings a bell. If I recall correctly, he had some ads up a few months back with some decent pastels. I have no idea why the animal was called "stonewashed". I also have no idea why he is posting ads with 2 different user IDs.

I still think it MAY have been a pastel, but not very impressive if it was. And in no way did it remind me of a stonewashed.

Once again it looks like the name game...........

This may be an error with KS's email system, but I doubt it. I sent an email to MM via the "contact me" link on the ad and Aaron replied to me today.

I will post here if he replies again.

Aaron....

He has 1.5 Ball Pythons for sale now....one pastel, and 5 normal females. NOWHERE in this ad does it say anything about being a STONEWASHED Pastel for sale. Are we sure it is the same seller?

Dave

I could be wrong, but I sent an email to MM=, and Aaron replied to my message.

Unless Aaron got my email to MM= by mistake...........

This guy is fishy at best

I backed out of a deal with this guy over a week ago - before this thread was started. The e-mail address he was using is [email protected]. I had a thread going questioning who he was. The thread used his e-mail address because even after I asked several times, he wouldn't provide me his name.
He wanted payment right away (even before pics were sent).
Must have thought he was dealing with an idiot. Anyway, if you're going forward with him, I'd say to do it with EXTREME caution. Maybe a hand to hand transaction.

I'm starting to think I may be wrong that its Aaron, but its odd that the reply I got was from Aaron. I just emailed Aaron my number and I will post back here after I talk to him.

Is this the same M.M. . . .

. . . who is selling Rhac. chahoua's for 200-250 a piece? That sounds like about 100 below the price of a juvi?

I was very leary, since they won't print their name.

Ad writing!

I think alot of "situations" might be avoided with better written ads. First thing, do not use all capital letters. If you are advertising a Pastel, state what line it is from. With some morphs, ie. Pieds, it really makes no difference, but with Pastels, Ghosts, Axanthics, it does. If it is from a new line, or a ch or wc animal, state that. If you have a stonewashed pastel, you better be able to back it up with paperwork from the breeder, pictures, etc. Put your name in the ad......if you do not, it makes you look unprofessional, and like you may be hiding something, or have a poor reputation, and want to be annonymous. Include good pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone have anything else to add?

Dave

If it is the same guy selling 1 male pastel with 5 females, than it is a pastel.

David,

I'm not sure if you were asking if anyone had anything else to ad with regards to morphs.

If that was the question then yes, I would like to ad that the chances for a CH cinnamon pastel to exist are VERY slim.

Cinnamon pastels were produced by the first time by Graziani by breeding pastels to cinnamons. What are the odds that a pastel and a cinnamon will breed in the wild and a CH cinnamon-pastel baby be hatched?

Thanks.

Who are we talking about here? Aron L. has the pastel male & 5 females for around $2,700.00. Where is this $500.00 "pastel"? Hope nobodys name gets screwed over this (if they don't deserve it).

I'm confused.

I agree, the pastel with the 5 girls is sweet looking.
I'm starting to think that my email to MM= wound up in Aarons email for some reason.

As far as the original ad, that is not a stonewashed pastel, it MAY be a pastel, but the pic along with the description/price made me think scam right off the bat.

Could somebody try to email MM= through KS and see if he gets it. It would also be nice to notify him and let him know theres a thread started on his BS ad.
