Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

The funny thing is I have been trying to buy 1.1 pieds from Snakebiz01 but have been getting the runaround. No pictures, an unverifiable address, and a disconnected phone number. I was going to fly accross the country to CA to bring him cash and pick them up but he insists that I overnight half the money to a guy in AR before I come and keeps pushing the day back.

They are probably the same person. I contacted snakebiz01 aka Chris Emmans about an ad he had posted in the classifieds. I inquired about a pied and he told me that a pair (1.1) was all he had left. I asked him how much he wanted for them and he wanted me to make an offer. I told him that shipping wouldn't be a problem because I could fly to CA to pick them up and I would rather him tell me what he wanted for them. He then told me that he had a few others interested and he would let me know, but I didn't hear back from him for a day or so. I assumed he may have missed the e-mail or hadn't checked it yet so I e-mailed him asking for an update. He responded by telling me that no one had bought them and that I could come pick them up but we would have to make arrangements a week in advance because he was on the road alot and also that he would have to meet me somewhere because he didn't let anyone know where his private residence was, no exceptions. He also stated that he would need half the money up front to reserve them until I came to get them. I told him that I didn't have a ton of money but if we could agree on a price and he could send a picture then we could arrange a down payment. He offered me this amazing deal if I agreed to take them both. Well we agreed on a price that seemed too good to be true (and it was) and he told me that he didn't have a digital camera to take pictures with. I asked him about health and weights and for a phone number so that we could finalize the deal and arrange a day for me to get them. According to "Chris" they were in perfect health but he did not have a scale to weigh them. He would not give me a number because he said he had a deal go bad where a snake died a year after he shipped it and recieved death threats. I asked him to call me collect but he would not do that either because he was afraid that I would get his number and his number was reserved for customers only and I would get it when the deal was finalized. I guess he expected me to send him 50% and fly accross the country on his word. He gave me two references both of which had the same writing style and hotmail accounts. One of the references claimed to be with JK Reptiles in AZ but a visit to their website and an e-mail to the owner proved this to be BS. He told me that I would have his contact information soon and that I needed to send a money order, because paypal is way to much trouble for what it's worth, to a guy named Charles in AR. He wanted the MO made out to Charles but didn't give me a last name until I refused to send it without knowing the last name. He then said to make it out to Charles E. and after going back and fourth for a while he finally gave up the last name. I told him that I wasn't sending the money until I talked to him and Charles and I kept getting the run around until sometime late Friday when it was too late to do anything so Saturday morning I went to the bank and got the entire amount in cash and sent him a picture of it showing that I wasn't playing around. He said that he could meet me in LA Sunday if I would overnight 50% to Charles (at this point I still don't know who Charles is). I don't know about where he lives but the post office closes at 1pm here and it was too late to overnight anything (not like I would have sent it anyways, it wouldn't have gotten there until Tuesday and I was suppose to pick up the pieds Sunday). For some reason me flying accross the country and putting cash in his hand wasn't good enough 50% had to be sent to Charles and he started making excuses to push the date back to meet him. I explained to him that I was in the National Guard and would probably be sent to New Orleans and wouldn't be available after this weekend. Hi still insisted that I send the money to Charles and he would hold them for me.

This guy is a peice of work. I guess he thinks people are stupid. I guess some people fall for it though. Beware of this guy things just don't add up and I believe he and THESNAKEDEN are probably the same person. I have all the e-mail if anyone is interested.

ps - I paid to post here just to tell this story and warn people about this guy.
 
He has almost any morph of any species you are looking for, except that you have to ship first. It sounds a lot like the claims of Matt Goldman a.k.a “Mr. Gotti”. I might be wrong but I’m starting to wander…

Any chance we can check his i.p.?

I did eventually get an address and phone number out of him but the address couldn't be verified by Mapquest nor the Postal Service. The phone number was disconnected when I tried to call it.

I don't think they are the same person but you never know.

I have some info to add to that thread as well now that I have signed up. I'll do that later on though.
 
If he wants you to come out to L.A than arrange to meet at the NARBC show in Anaheim next weekend. More than likely he will not want to, but it is a mutual place were lots of vendors will be. He seems fishy....if he will not meet at a show (where he should have a booth considering all the animals he has)......than he is full of it. Anyone with that kind of stock in L.A. will be at the show. He has anything anybody would want.
 
I know a whole lot of people in L.A. Tell him he must meet me first before you are willing to ship money. If he is ligit he will show me the animals. Let him know I will be your verification. I have no problem meeting this guy for you. If you want you can PM me or something.
 
He agreed to meet Friday as long as he didn't have to drive too far, but he hasn't responded to my e-mails since to let me know where or exactly when. I e-mailed him again tonight. My guess is I'll get the runaround or he will have "sold" them by then but maybe he will prove me wrong.

He registered with an Adelphia IP address. It matches no one else here. gj_snakemaster also registered with an Adelphia IP address. It doesn't prove anything since Adelphia is a large cable internet provider and their IP's are dynamic. But there are already red flags in your dealings with him so this would give me more than a bit of pause.
 
As if it is a big surprise, after several e-mails, I haven't heard from Chris since Wednesday. Guess he isn't interested in making the sale.

Thanks Michael for volunteering to drive to meet this guy and take some pictures of the snakes. I guess we weeded out another scammer.
