    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am new into hypos and recently acquired this male and was wondering if anyone who has been into these morphs would know his worth and if he'd be a good breeding investment? I plan on keeping him, just curious.
He's 8lbs, 5.5ft long. The pictures have not been tampered with in any way, some with flash, some outdoors. True colors.
Thanks for looking and for any info you have! :)

He is very nice, great color. I think if you are interested in selective breeding some nice pastel hypos, this guy would fit very well in that project, or even breed the albino gene in and make some very nice sunglows.

As far as value goes, I have seen similar adult males for sale that were asking $400 or so and were of very similar color, one of them was tempting me last week actually... I wouldn't say nice hypos are a cash cow project or anything but babies from this guy would certainly be something to be proud of and should easily sell better then the average stuff out there.

very nice hypo guy there, great color and not too muddied up (not too dark). I like the contrast those speckles give, although lots of people prefer a 'clean' look (no speckles). Do you know any history on him? What the parents/grandparents were? I don't see much (if any) hog influance but it's always a question as the rich oranges kinda reminded me of 'sunsets'. (I'm not saying it's a cross, but without history...)

Hypos value... well it depends. They are one of the more common morphs that has been around the longest (I believe?) and they breed co-dom so bred to a normal you get half hypos, half normals. An adult male? hard to say. Sorry I can't be of more help, I'm hesitant to start throwing out numbers.

Thanks for the input! I honestly LOVE his freckles! I have a normal pastel with lots of pink in her and very clean, I think I will pair them up. Would love to see the babies that would come out of that. :)
Unfortunately, I have no history on him, so that puts his lineage in the dark, but his appearance speaks for itself I think in terms of breeding prospects.
I may decide to even go in the direction of some colorful, bright hypos and keep an eye out for a female that would compliment his genetics.
Thanks again!
