I purchased them around the time you got hit by a train, if that gives any time reference, its been about 2 years, been trying to get in contact with you about it for the past 1.5 years. You were living a little north of Jacksonville, FL at the time, you had been displaced after Katrina.

That is where I lived and I did get hit by a train in late 2006, and I was living just north of Jacksonville, FL after Katrina and during the time I was hit by a train. So this definitely sounds like me.
However, I have never actually sold any racks online. I think I once placed an ad for some, but sold them to a guy in FL who came and got them.
Can you give me as much info as possible about this? This is really odd. If you purchased something, did you send money? I am guessing you did since you said you "purchased" racks. If so, what address was it sent to and who was the check made out to (if you have that info available)? Please give me any info you have. You can e-mail me directly at:

Yes, please do send me any e-mails that you may have. I just looked back through my PayPal account and neither of those are in my transaction history. I looked them up by date and by transaction ID and every other way I could think of. There is also some info in those screen shots that I do not recognize.
My apologizes, but I am trying to figure out exactly what is going on here. Not that you are doing so, but over the past couple of years I have had several people attempt to recover money from me that were erroneous claims. This is due to possible identity theft in 2006, but I will not get into that at this time. It does not make much sense that this could have stemmed from that particular event, but may be a different, but similar, event.
Please forward the e-mails to me that you have, I am very anxious to see them and find out exactly what is going on.

I apologize, but nothing from this transaction you are speaking of is familiar to me. Also, I have looked at the entire months of June, July and August 2006 for anything regarding the transactions, but have found nothing about them. Also, the 2nd transaction you show for $100.00, I checked the “Unique Transaction ID#” and it is no where in the PayPal system for my account.
Also, the e-mails you have copied and pasted are from an old e-mail address which I have not used in years. I also know how to use spell-check and whoever wrote the e-mails obviously did not have good grammar, or spelling. I did access that e-mail yesterday in order to get my password for Fauna since that was my last e-mail address they had. It took me several hours to get into the account because my info had been changed; although someone has accessed that Yahoo account from time to time or I am guessing it would have been deleted by now. There are several thousand e-mails in that account, some recent, and I am about to go into it to find if any of them were to, or from, you. I am concerned because apparently “I” sent several e-mails to different people from that e-mail address; however, it was not me that actually sent the e-mails.
I am looking into this and am trying to figure out what has happened. I have several theories currently. I am going to give you the benefit of my doubt and assume you are not like the others and attempting to scam me somehow. Long story short, when my ex and I split up, he has tried every way possible to scam money from me because that is the sort of person he is. There have been some really smart ploys, but I have gotten to the bottom of all of them after being tricked the first time. I will say this only once, if you are a friend of his who was just trying to help him make a few dollars, or some other random person looking for money, please discontinue contacting me now, as I do plan to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible. If you are not, please accept my apologies for insinuating such a thing. Please understand that I have had to guard myself very closely due to his attempts to take from me, and the attempts of others to do the same.
I have also had my identity stolen, but thus far it appears there was only one such instance over a 1 month period of time. Whomever moved into my old house was left a medical ID card mistakenly by the mailman at some point which contained my social security number and used that info to their advantage. I am still working to resolve all the issues that stemmed from that. Also, a check was stolen that was left at my old address and was cashed somehow. I do not think this incident was related to that one, but if it is I plan to find out.
What disturbs me greatly is that whomever you were e-mailing back and forth obviously knew a good deal about me, but was incorrect on many things. I do not want to go into it further at this time since I am not sure who you are or what is going on.
I am going to contact Yahoo to see if they can find out anything about the IP address those were sent from. Maybe they can trace it somehow. I am going to look into this today and will get back to you with whatever I am able to find out. Please feel free to contact me if you have any other info. Other than that I will be back in contact with you as soon as possible.

I am first of all not a scammer, you posted some racks on Fauna, I contacted you, we exchanged several emails, and I sent you money (I have proved this through the paypal pictures). You took my money, you confirmed you recieved the money in the emails.
Since then I have tried contacting you NUMEROUS times, I searched long and hard trying to get ahold of you, as you have stolen MY MONEY!!!

I am getting to the bottom of this as soon as possible, but you cannot expect me to just send over a large amount of money to someone I have never heard of. I am sure you would not just hand out money to a random stranger, regardless of what "proof" they had. I am sure you can understand my position on this. I never received any money from you myself, and am still not sure what is going on.
Yes, I advertised the racks on here, but I did not sell them to you, nor did I sell them to anyone on here. I sold them, as well as all my other equipment, to someone in Jacksonville, FL and they picked it up directly from my house.
In any case, could you please forward those e-mails, including headers, directly to my e-mail address? Yahoo needs them in order to find out whose computer they came from. They should be able to tell from the headers where they came from. I will also need a full screen shot of the PayPal pages which includes all the info on the page, not just parts and pieces of the PayPal page.

I appreciate you taking the time to forward the e-mails and screen shots. I have a good idea of what has happened, but let me see if I can find out a few more things before I say for sure.
If what I think happened actually happened, I will do the best I can to recover your money from the person who took it. I will let you know as soon as I know for sure if what I am thinking is correct. I will be back in touch as soon as possible. I have spent my entire day working on this, reading old e-mails, etc. I have found MANY e-mails sent from me that I did not write or know about. I have seen your e-mail address as well and am deleting irrelevant e-mails and trying to gather yours together that were sent to my old e-mail address. This is totally insane. It looks to me like someone (and I think I know who) used my old e-mail address for their own personal gain.

As of today I have not heard back from Yahoo yet, except for a "form" letter I got about privacy issues and something stating they would respond (also a "form" e-mail). I asked them if they could tell me what the IP address was where those e-mails were sent from. I would assume they should be able to, since I am asking for information about my own account. I have contacted them several times. I am not sure how long it usually takes them to look into such things. I am trying to find out if this was from a public computer somewhere or what they can tell me about where the e-mails originated. That will help me understand how they were apparently sent from my e-mail address and figure out if they were sent from the person(s) who were involved in identity theft against me, or if it was something (someone) different.
I am about to e-mail them, and PayPal, again since I have not gotten a response yet.

In conclusion, its been about 2 months since any response from her. She has blocked further PM's so I can't contact her via PM. I have tried sending emails but no response. I think I have provided copious amounts of info confirming my case, she still claims innocence. If it is how she says it is and it is identitiy theft, I would be more than willing to accept a payment plan from her to refund my money, but the point is SHE OWES ME MONEY. One is responsible for their name, and keeping track of who is using it. I stand by my name and she should do the same.
