In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Very happy to announce the first babies from this pairing . Definately one of the more exciting crosses we`re working on

These are Het APTOR and Possible Het "Snake Eyed " RAPTOR ( Red Eyes) !

Enjoy !

sigh.......

We know they are heterozygous APTOR. What makes you say they are possible het snake eye and RAPTOR? A new public "press release" yesterday?

People claim possible het specimens when they know for certain there is a logical chance they could carry such traits, such as a het to normal pairing in the bp world. They just don't pull a chance idea out of the sky and state it is possibly heterozygous. Something has to be somewhat concrete to make such a claim, or so I've been brought to think..... Perhaps its just me. Or perhaps its just early to be making such a claim..... Sounds.... I don't know. Very odd.

It would be like saying... "look, I found this wild type albino in this forty square mile area along with this normal. They lived reasonably close so hey.... theres a good chance he can be heterozygous albino right?!" lol

Our APTOR is possibly heterozygous RAPTOR, should we be advertising all of the specimens produced are possibly heterozygous "snake-eyed" as well because of the new announcement? Just thought I'd ask.... If thats the case I should start listing all of our aptor, possible snake-eye\raptor hatchlings while the iron is still hot eh? :) j/k

And by the way, those are some very nice crosses you have there. Congrats!

Post some larger photos if you could..... And some updates along the way.

PS. Enjoying our incubation method? Good results? :)

Well , we have hatched 2 Snake eyed RAPTORs (one is Het APTOR the other a "patternless" )from APTOR X Het APTOR so they are proven to both be Het Red Eyes and Snake Eyes IF that is a seperate trait .

One of our babies has 1 solid and 1 "snake eye" , and the second has 1 normal and 1 Snake Eye! Third has 2 normal Albino eyes .

Now im told the APTORs were all Poss. Het RAPTOR , Ron never said they were Poss. Hets at the time . I had a feeling that was the case and named my APTOR "Raptor" before he was even shipped LOL

I`m now saying this to fact BECAUSE of the release , you see before i had not known about the "Snake eyes" . the RAPTOR i knew about since way back in November . So I was seeing this half red eye (i did not know was possible ) and just wasnt sure that it was a RAPTOR . Now there is no doubt .

You are right your APTOR is Poss. Het , but guessing he is not proven to be one.

I Think youde be "warming" your own "iron" to go ahead with that :)

Buy a Het , proove him out .

Thanks ! I like them ALOT

Ahhhh photos , been having a really hard time with posting pics , as you can see they come out way too small . Ill work on it and definately will be updating these babies . Try a magnifying glass , i did LOL

Actually "your" incubation method works very well . I never saw the Top Shelf label on "your" containers though . Been using those for awhile ,theyre nice.

Gotta love the container store , almost everything a Gecko could want

Did I miss something?
PS. Enjoying our incubation method? Good results?

Gorgeous babies Dan! Man, I am having a very bad season this year compared to some of you :bawling:

Ahhhh, I wouldnt say that . I Had many problems too !

Think it may seem that way because so many are posting the triumphs , and not the failures which seem to be "neck in neck" toward the finish line .For us anyway . For instance I hatched 3 babies from my APTOR breeding , but have lost that many eggs too . :bawling:

Just having fun and trying not to let it get to me .

Wondering if...

They will hold any pattern or hypo out. Would live to see them in a couple months.

my 2 cents... I don't like the eye thing - too freaky :dgrin:

Being the first they are definately keepers , so i will be posting them as they grow . The black will not likely stay that bold . On my other Red Stripe crosses the black 'hypos' to a lavender color , leaving a row of spots (the stripe) then fills in with yellow or orange where the lavender was . These we will just have to see .

I went into great detail regarding how we incubated, containers, etc. a while back at the request of a few people who saw photos of the containers we used and other details they had questions about...

Shortly thereafter Daniel decided to pick up on it and I noticed in a few recent photos.... I thought I would ask if he saw any improved results or liked the method and he decided to play dumb and be sarcastic when I was looking for some informative input.

He did however know exactly what I meant, unlike Jeanne for example, which is what one would call a dead giveaway.

No big deal Dan.... There are a few in every crowd. :) A straight answer would have been sufficient and helpful though.

Thanks for the added info and the eye photo. Very interesting.

Chris , I said they work very well . Just goofing around anyways you did say 'our' method as if it was something noone else is doing.

Picked up on it ? Dont the majority use plastic containers Not that it matters who was first ,I have been using containers from the container store since last year . At first i bought the next size up and theres no need for all that room so i moved to the little ones several months ago . Did you think noone else has used /thought to use those until you posted you are using them ?

The Container Store is a huge chainstore in every city, just about

C`Mon now , i buy my tubs there too ! :) Dont think i shopped around for other goodies ?

And please do not call me Daniel (if thats who you were refering to ) ?

That is not my name ,Dan is short for Danny (full name) . unless of course you like i`ll assume your name to be Christopherson :raspberry

Sorry , guess i couldnt ad anymore of a "Straight" answer than they work well . Just didnt have any further input

Chris,

Hell is open to new threads now. Perhaps you want to take your disagreement there and duke it out.

Actually it would be Christopher. Sorry Danny, I honestly thought Dan was short for Daniel. No harm, no foul.

And as for the incubation, I had noticed the change after my post explaining the method. And it was more than just containers, even though the single clutch contaiers is what caught most peoples eye for obvious reason. So easy to track each clutch effortlessly. Anywho.... I thought I would try for some input from someone who have used the method I outlined. You apprently just purchased the containers, nothing more. I'll get the information I seeked from else though, thanks anyways.

Not at all Bud, thanks for the invite though!

I have no use for such hostilities any longer. Granted if someone really deserved it I'd probably think otherwise.... :)

Just trying to keep things civil on the forum Chris. You know me...gentle Jim. LMAO.

I thought I would ask if he saw any improved results or liked the method
well theres the question , thought all you said before is "are you enjoying / they work well "

Actually having the same results with the smaller size as i had with the larger ones i was using before . Same brand same container , different size .

I do like the containers , perfect size for 1 or 2 clutches.

what method ? I dont even use Albey`s method ( uses too much water)

I remember you posting pics of your incubator and you answering someone where you got the small containers . I do not remember any explanation of an incubation method though .
