In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Are these Fat-Tails legit or...

I will say this. I have seen many of Masterpiece's geckos and they represent their animals accurately. They produce some gorgeous animals.

Thanks for the info. They just looked too bright to be real! They are some gorgeous animals and I wanted to make sure they were a reputable breeder.

I can't vouch for those, but I can guarentee this one is every bit real:

So if this one can exist, certainly masterpiece's can.

Well, we bought a nice male Tremper albino leopard gecko from them about 2 months ago, packed very well, excellent service, etc. I have noticed that their camera seems to make the animals look "Neon" orange. While their animals are not neon orange, they are truly still breathtaking in regards to their coloration. Hope this helps.
Thanks
Justyn

I have no doubt Masterpiece's geckos are quite nice, they do have great stock.

But I suspect they do use some trick lighting. The purple background will always emphasize orange, but it also would hide the fact that a blacklight was used.

Justyn if you could post a side-by-side comparison of your leo compared to the website's photo that would be a great scale for determining how much lighting factors into it.

Again, I have no doubt Masterpiece has great stock, and intend to do business with them in the future...

Hello Everyone,
We are extremely flattered by the thought that the coloration of some of our geckos look too good to be true. I would like to begin by clearing up the whole photo enhancement claim by letting everyone know that all of our pictures are taken indoors and the only contributing lighting is the sunlight that comes in through a window. We use no bulbs, backlights or any other possible sources. We honestly try to represent our animals as accurately as possible and always offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If for any reason a customer should feel that perhaps the newly purchased animal does not look like the picture or feel that it was in any way over represented we would gladly make amends, no questions asked. Once a gecko is in someone's care we all know that stress, environment, diet and substrate can all influence coloration. We are proud to say we house all of our animals individually and prefer not to use any sort of calcium carbonate in order to keep them as clean and colorful as possible. As for the reason we use the purple background, it's just pretty. I agree that there are other colors that would make our geckos look even better but unfortunately, they are currently used by other people in the industry. We took the liberty of taking a couple of pictures on different backgrounds in order to help demonstrate a variety of colors. We have produced some beautiful geckos and can hardly wait to see what we produce this upcoming season.

The pictures were to big to include. Here is the link where the pics can be veiwed :

Sorry for any inconvenience encountered when trying to view the pictures. For some reason they were to big to post directly so we signed up on one of those free photo galleries. Apparently, not the best one. By the way, for those that do view the pics I promise that hairy hand doesn't belong to Monica. ;)
Take care

STUNNING, I take back any negative comments :D

Here's one of the pics for people who don't want to register to see the photos.

gorgeous animals, and I may have to make that purchase sooner than I had planned

That orange one on the left is just stunning!!! I think Masterpiece may have just acquired a new fan and a future (very near future) customer!

Very impressive animal.

I don't know how you did it but thank you so much for posting the picture. We spent the better part of the morning trying but got nowhere. The bright one is a real beauty. I can't wait to see what she produces. By the way Kelli we purchased a blizzard male from you sometime this past summer and he's doing great. Nothing like an experienced breeder to get the job done. ;)

Here is a picture of the male albino (the link at the bottom of the page) that we purchased form Masterpiece Geckos. Let me say again that I was very impressed with their service, quality, and the owners themselves. Once I see another gecko they have up for grabs that I like I will not hesitate to purchase him/her ASAP. I do not think that they in any way Masterpiece Geckos misrepresent any of their animals in ANY shape or form. We even have several eggs in the incubator with his genes in them, I expect to hatch out some nice geckos within a couple months.

They look totally legitimate.
Some of the colors avilable now are phenomenal. Here is one of our girls (gravid now)from the amelanistic AFT project.

they look legit...

When i first saw a picture of the indcredible colours of the amelanistic fattails, i thought this picture only could be repainted for the showing, but then i saw the little one real on a reptile show (because i ordered it from the guy, for getting it on the show ) and there were no little distance of any color i saw before. here the picture i did of the fattail after receiving it at my home !!!

i bought a male from them a while back, i too thought they did somthing with there lighting, because there were some red orange highlights that showed up in the pic, but i didnt see, i took some pics using my digital cam and using the flash only the reds and oranges seemed to come back.
