• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well, I'm pure lurker here. This is my first post. I came here because of the adenovirus in beardies thing (also with Sunshine Dragons). I'm an active member of bd.org. But this site is a lot more intimidating. I tend to watch the BOI, cause I look for the best places to get feeders and it's saved me from dealing with some bad people. But I see other topics, and I'm afraid to post cause of how emotionally charged some topics are.

Example, there's something I WANT to say on that whole Evolution of Pets thread, but it's so crazy right now, I'd be afraid to. Besides, it's just a different version of what everyone else has said.

I'm also pretty shy by nature, so that just makes it tougher. Especially how people get rude and insulting in many threads. It seems to always get extreme. (If I had the guts, I'd just nicely tell everyone calm down myself.)

Again, not sure what could be done. Mods try hard, but aside from banning or locking threads, there isn't much that would stop people from getting so worked up. (And that wouldn't stop the emotions anyway)

no ,no i saw three different posts,it was very odd.
I thought it was my PC.
If it wasn't....what does undefined mean? :shrug01:

Honestly, I lurk a lot but barley post. Why? Well, I chose other instead of 'rude, mean, generally not nice', because I think most people are pretty nice in the forums. But, in all honesty, I don't want to get dragged in to the feuds and personal vendettas of a few. I just want to learn as much as I can, apply as much as I can, hopefully teach as much as I can, and enjoy this great hobby/business of ours. Of course egos will always clash, but it becomes a nuisance when it is brought in to every other topic. Why can't we just bury the hatchet, agree to disagree, and move on?

There is enough information here and elsewhere for me to get the answers to any questions I want to ask.

Also, too many people have no lives and feel the need to create drama to make them feel like they have accomplished something.

Lastly, I do most of my posting on cornsnakes.com.
