    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

We recently got one of these in at my world, and my god are they beautiful! It's just a baby, maybe 20 inchs long. Looking for some information, I've heard they can get incredibly aggressive as adults. This baby we have is very docile, is very alert and hasn't shown any sign of wanting to bite anyone. I know they get rather big, 10 ft?

Anyone have adult pics? And what is the best cageing to use for these animals.

Argentines are big and beautiful.
Sometimes the young ones have personalities that scare the owners into not handling them. So some end up being adults that don't like to be handeled.

Work with them young and they'll be just as docile as any other BCI.

I have pics and vids on my other computer, will post later tonight.

They are definatly beautiful, how long is yours about? Gorgeous! The one we have at work i've been handling a lot, doesn't show any sign of being aggressive when I am poking around in his cage or handling him! Just very curious.

The female in that pic, is at 8 feet now.
The male I have, is about 7 feet.

Hey! I realize the picture in this thread was posted in 2009, but was wondering about your female Argentine. We have an 18 month old who is 3 foot long, feeding her f/t small rats. How heavy was your female in the picture? What were/are you feeding her and how often? Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I dont remember how much she weighed, but he had some good heft to her.
What I fed and how frequent, depended on supply. Colossal rats, or 1.5-2lb rabbits. So sometimes, when bigger stuff was sparse, she would get a few small bits, to tide her over. I usually did bi-weekly with her.
