    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have an opportunity to buy a male and 4 subadults(900-1000grams) arroyos, but not to sure where this gene stands. This is a new one to me and I like the look of the rio, but is there a good market or potential for the arroyo gene? Advice please?

I personally think the Arroyo/RIO project could be a neat one. It is a gene that is not that common in most collections, so you basically could be the one to open up and generate demand for it based on what you make of it. Rio is one version of it, but not sure if there is a Rio Butter, Rio Clown, etc. For a long time they were fairly expense to get into. The main person who held most of them in his collection sold his collection off in the last year. I think this is the main reason you even see them offered in the first place for the prices you are seeing.

Long story short, if you want to do something different, this could be a great project to create something NEW.

Couldnt have said it better myself Robert. The rio is pretty wild & so much yet to be seen done with it. Cant wait! Do a little more reseach & if the price is right & you like it, do it.
Good luck.
