• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

ASF's - what's the big deal?

and for the person who CBA to google a picture this is a pretty average ASF.

Ok, I finally googled the ASF's & checked out a couple of info sites since my last post (thanks for the photo Richard). Nothing made as much of an impact on me, though, as watching Greg's "Lots of ASF's!!!" OMG--you weren't kidding; The one tub that you had separated the 1:5 from the babies just blew my mind! I do love your reasoning regarding what you're going to do with all of them: "Guess I'll have to buy more snakes."
So do you feed your snakes nothing BUT the ASF's? Do you freeze them for later, and if so, do the snakes take to f/t ASF's as 'easily' as they do f/t rats?

ASF UPDATE

Went to the Tampa show about 2 wks ago, saw them in person & HAD to buy a breeding trio. They are very cute! :eek:
What I've found so far:
1. I just moved them outside to my rat breeding enclosure; they were in my bathroom until yesterday--NO SMELL, at least not like regular mice/rats.
2. They DON'T seem to chew like regular mice/rats; had them in a half-:censored: set-up (since I wasn't planning on getting any...), and they have had plenty of time to chew the dishpan up do to the ridges in it. They havent even chewed up the newspaper or paper towels that I put in there with them.
3. They don't even seem to eat a whole lot either.
They are currently in a proper mouse rack now, in a 'ridge-less' bin & proper bedding...
Now, all I have to do is wait for the babies! :yesnod:
