    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Elizabeth had never dealt with mites before, so it was not something she would have recognized right from the bat while getting the snakes out of the bags. Like most any "new" keeper who gets new snakes, they get excited about them and pay full attention to the snake itself, not necessarily what they came in.

The POINT, AGAIN, is that you two SOLD and SHIPPED to her, mite-infested snakes potentially carrying a nasty disease.

Just send her the full refund to her email address in Paypal. Why does she need to keep emailing you, Ryan? She gave you her Paypal address several times.

I don't know HOW MUCH MORE we could have SPELLED ALL OF THIS OUT FOR YOU and ASHLEY.

She has been offered a refund and has not accepted it. Mites are problematic, which is why we will be treating the returned Bolivians for them so that they do not spread to the rest of our collection.
 
Oh and for the record, it doesn't matter whether you keep snakes on newspaper, paper towels or bare cage floor. Mites are mites, and will still infest.
 
And Adrya is absolutely correct. The snakes came out of the bags on arrival day, and my fiance took pictures while I happily held them up and then put them in their tubs. There was no logical reason for me to inspect the fabric inside the bags at that point, and I resent your implication that I am somehow at fault for having not discovered mites earlier. A customer is a person, you can't decide what they should or should not be. I am very new to all of this but I care very much. It makes me sick that scum like you would even try to turn the flashlight off of yourselves on to me. Ryan, I have been too busy responding to your accusations here to reply to your email, do you you want me to APOLOGIZE for that???!!! Who do you think you are?
 
And why would I reply to an email that requires me to ship to get ANY refund when for the last hours I have been telling you and your wife I CANNOT SHIP? I even said in PM's BEFORE YOU EMAILED ME that I cannot ship. If you are so desperate to contact me by email, send me another with different arrangements.
 
At that point I was not seeking a refund. Because, I knew you guys would do exactly this - turn me into the bad guy.

Also ANOTHER THING I want to make PERFECTLY CLEAR:

When buying a snake, a snake is not shipped out to the recipient until payment is made.

The EXACT REVERSE goes for RETURNS.

So refund/payment MUST be MADE BEFORE the snakes can be SHIPPED BACK.

Elizabeth is more than ready to accept the refund, but has only gotten an email from Ryan so far saying that she has to ship them back first. She has not gotten ANY sort of email notification indicating a full refund.
 
It's freaking easy. All you gotta do, is make, print out, and mail her a reverse address FedEx label. That should probably be done first.

Then full refund should be made once the shipping label is received.

Then, with shipping label in Elizabeth's hand, the snakes can be shipped back.

Badda-bing, badda-BOOM. Done.

That's ONE option.

Elizabeth has made it PERFECTLY CLEAR numberous times that she has NO intention to ship the Bolivians back once she has received payment. Rachel on the other hand has agreed to ship back and payment is pending with Paypal and will clear once the Bolivians have been delivered.

I had no idea that you shared an email account with her? Because if you did, it clearly states that 100% refund will be issued to her. Not to mention that every post on here states that she will receive one...
 
OK, Elizabeth was mostly just VERY concerned about the future of the Bolivian boas once they were shipped back to you, knowing the background of your household and everything that has been shown in this thread. So, I can understand her feelings on that, and I'm sure that with more TRUTHFUL, HONEST convincing to her from you two that the snakes will have no harm or uncertain futures ahead of them if they are returned to you, that she will ship them back to you.

Another option is you refund now and then send her the shipping label. WHATEVER, just get the job done. Jeeze. lol

Because I have gotten several messages in my inbox confused by the information I offered regarding base housing ...

PET RESTRICTIONS:
1. No exotic pets will be permitted. Only cats, dogs, fish, hamsters and gerbils, and birds are

2. Only two (2) walking pets are allowed per home.

Akita, Chow, Doberman, Pit Bull, Rottweiler, American Staffordshire Terriers, English

This is directly quoted from the policies of the privatized housing contractors handling base housing for service members. All of them have the same policies.

I do not believe Ashely lives on base, I believe they bought a house off base, therefore, she cannot get in trouble just for having the animals there.

You are correct in the "just having them there" part. But the military, unless they've drastically changed the rules since I was in, will still hold Ryan and or Ashley responsible if neglect is proved, regardless if living on post or off. If anything, that should make Ryan apply pressure to Ashley to do the right thing while he is away. A refund is just a start IMO.


I do have a question though... Obviously this doesn't affect the refund or anything... But I'm curious... Why were all the snakes not pre-treated when they arrived anyway? Every animal I've EVER gotten has been pre-treated for mites when it came into the house... Doesn't matter if it was from a small breeder, big, well known breeder, whatever... They have ALL been pre-treated...

If that's the case, how do you explain the mites? Are you perhaps not treating them properly? Maybe only treating once, then the eggs hatch and reinfest? There has been more then one mention of mites here, so obviously you aren't doing something right. I've never had mites reinfest after a proper treatment.

Something just ain't ringing true Ashley.
 
Look, I replied to your last email twice. I am not against a refund I just am not sure where you guys stand - are you requiring me to return them in order for me to be refunded? Or what?
