    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Ashley Caspillo-SakaraGT4/Sakara *Possible Buyer Beware!*

I'm really, very sorry, guys.

I know it's close to the holidays, and people are strapped. However, I bet her and her family aren't going without things.

Ashley has at least ONE motorcycle she can't ride, and her husband is overseas, and they have an extra car. They can pawn them if they want to seriously make amends for careless/reckless behavior.

Now that may seem harsh, but she has cost you guys MUCH more money than just the cost of those snakes now. You guys are going to have to have your own testing done, or put projects on hold while you wait out the stability of your own collections.

You both ponied up the money to buy from someone you thought was a friend and a responsible keeper you could trust. She misrepresented herself and her animals.

She has bought snakes without asking for her husband's permission. Refunding the money should not require it. It's the LEAST she can do, at this point.

I'm just sorry none of this was given the attention it deserved when it was addressed initially.
 
I must say, all this dont look so good for Ashley and her snakes. Mites are a pain in the rumpus right. It's an easy fix but can be time consuming. I had a rescue boa a few years back that was covered in them. I uses jurassimite. Best stuff ever ( at least for that boa )
 
Mites are a pain but so far my treatment method has worked. I've also sprayed the carpet around the quarantine room to stop any of those little things from trailing their way to my main room. I have not at this point found any mites on my snakes.

*sigh*
 
i'm also emailing Dr. jacobson to ask him what Elizabeth and I should do about the quarantine and potentially shutting down our collections. I explained to him pretty much step by step how I have quarantined them and asked if MY breeding projects are potentially a liability for another buyer. If he tells me to wait it out, I will stop my breeding projects and wait it out.
 
Thank you Rachel, very much. I will follow whatever advice you receive, although because mites have made their way to my main room my situation is a little different. I wish I had caught the mite problem sooner.
 
I'm really sorry about this guys, and I only wish I could have found Ashley's initial IBD thread sooner, then you two (and others) most likely wouldn't be in this situation.
 
Something I thought I might add, when mites are in their nymph stage they become airborne as they are like dust and spread around as air moves through the room.I hate mites they're a pain in the arse to get rid of.

Yes. When I was treating them for mites, I showered using the other shower in my apartment IMMEDIATELY after treating for mites. I will not take ANY chances infecting my collection.
 
I don't know whose brilliant idea it was to start a rumor that I have a confirmed IBD death in MY collection but it's 100% NOT TRUE.

That person probably did not read through all the info on here and started talking before they started walking, so to speak.

I'm sure it could. I took every precaution I could. I sprayed the carpet profusely between the rooms. it's been almost a week and still nothing on my main collection. I am hoping it stays that way.
 
I believe there is now a rumor going around started by Ashley and her attack dogs that Rachel had a IBD death. This is slanderous and has no proof. They have also brought up names that have spoken in private and public against ashley, either by not buying a snake or by publically being against her. I AM INFURIATED, as someone who has stayed OUT of the boi thread is implicated. This is immature slander at it's worst.
 
Just got a response from Dr. Jacobson. He said the mites would be needed for the transfer and he doesn't think, from what I've told him of my QT process, that I need to worry about it.

For Elizabeth she needs to test her collection and continue to test them and treat for mites.

So long as I can keep the mites from the main collection it looks like things will be okay.

I could cry from this news.
 
Great news Rachel! And that is exactly what I'm going to do. I finished treating all my snakes for mites tonight, will retreat in ten days, and go from there. Testing begins in January I suppose.
 
Sorry to be blunt but Casper Constrictos, Ashley and Ryan Caspillo, are some of the worst breeders/collectors I have seen in awhile. I send my condolences out to all those infected because of someones STUPIDITY and LIES!!!! I have also heard that she is planning on sueing or has threatened to sue Mr. Dean for selling her the BCL and causing her all this greif. How ridiculous is that? I mean Mr. Dean is not perfect but she had mites and improper quarantine which now points more toward the snake getting sick from her own collection. She had it for around 3 months with no symptons and then all of sudden it was dead. How is to prove that mites from her collection didn't get onto the BCL and give it a horrible disease. It is very possible. I agree she needs to refund all snakes sold because she has been proved that she has sold snakes with mites KNOWINGLY!!!!!! I very much hope this thread helps to keep Ashley and her mite ridden snakes away from other who actually take car of their animals.

I hope with all of my hope this works out for you. I know how much you love your animals and for you being so new to the hobby this can really leave a bad taste in your mouth. I feel the worst for you. :(
