Defection? Start us talking about her personal issues, mother, court..etc and forget about her actions as outlined in the thread..possibly drum up general sentiment that is so easily tapped on forums?

If you could only put as much thought and action into correcting the mistakes currently on the board...that would be a start.

I will give answers to questions when I have the answers myself about them.

and yes, I have been contacting ppl and no I will not give names because most have requested to NOT be involved in any thread drama. They know the thread is here and if they choose to post, they are more than welcome to do so.

And there's been information that people need to know that they've been asking for from you. And so far you've dodged it. Seriously, you've posted more since this about a pm from your supposed mother than you have on the rest of this thread.

AND I think it's terrible that there are child-welfare issues involved on top of all this mess. I feel bad for the babies only at this point. WHAT on EARTH? Just more fodder to prove Ashley is a selfish human being.

I personally know of one individual that a 3rd party had to contact ON YOUR BEHALF because he purchased a Nicaraguan boa from you, and YOU didn't have the DECENCY to contact him as of December 2010.

This has gone so far beyond IBD and customers that have been wronged and animal welfare. This entire situation makes us ALL look bad. If the authorities get involved concerning the children and reptiles, this will make us look freaking terrible. Someone NEEDS to point out to her mother that these animals aren't dangerous if kept and dealt with responsibly, by responsible people. Perhaps if someone from the outside does it, Selma will take that into consideration from another party rather than her daughter who has proven herself to be a liar.

s children..Even if it's her mother...Thats noones business but Ashley's and her mothers..this thread isn't about a custody battle..or any other personal issues along those lines...from my personal experience Ashley is a good mother and always has been...Kylie means the world to her..I wouldn't say it if it wasn't true...

I agree with you it should NOT be about the custody battle, the BOI is intended to be a business ethics board.

However, I think your opinion regarding her is a bit biased, as you are her friend, and continue to practically live over there despite the obvious risks to your own collection.

The fact remains that Ashley has ADMITTEDLY neglected to provide necessary care to her animals, and that CAN shed negative light on her parenting whether we intend for it to, or not.
Ashley is in this mess of her own creation, let's not forget that.
She still refuses to answer any questions, unless it's with lies.

This has EVERYTHING to do with custody battles, regardless of what's going on and who's got the kids. If Ashley's mother wants to use this thread in court against her, for whatever reason, regardless of who is right, then it is a huge black eye to EVERYONE. Especially if Selma some how DFSinvolved. It's a SHAME on us all. You can't see why we are all very disturbed?

Maybe Ashley is a good mother, but she decided to start a shoddy business and with her current situation involving her son and mother, she's just put herself and OUR hobby in more hot water.

Actually Crystal, this affects us ALL.

She had mites, you took care of her snakes, stayed there 4-5days out of the week, and have your OWN collection. You don't see a problem there?

It DOES affect you.

It also affects you if her mom decides to make an issue, and Child Services, the local code enforcement or Dept of Fish & Wildlife steps in and raids her.

It hurts ALL of us that her BS is being drug into a child custody battle which makes ALL reptile keepers look like irresponsible animal hoarders that neglect their animals.

You can blame me for bringing this here all you want, but the truth is: It was out there by Ashley's own doing.
Her actions have brought nothing but misery, concern, and a black eye to reptile hobbiests. She is the personification of EVERYTHING that is wrong with our hobby, and by associating with her and defendng her, you're dragging yourself right there with her.

Well, lets just think of this thread now as a collective of Ashley's BS. She had a custody battle underway and knew right well her mom had a problem with her owning snakes. She decided to start selling them and obviously did a terrible job at it. ALL aspects of her keeping of reptiles have been questioned, so the the kids have gotten involved in this because of her mother.

NOBODY wants kids involved. I don't know what type of person her mother is, but I sure as heck don't want her using this whole thread as leverage for the trial in Feb. If it is, the court will probably investigate this further. There is enough evidence on this thread that came from Ashley herself about her business, animal keeping, to put into consideration for a court case.

Raid me? really... I have my permit for any large snakes and keep everyone legally and clean... There is no reason for a "raid" and if that happened they would see clean, legal and taken care of animals in a clean house.

She could have nipped this thread in the bud long ago by being responsible, up-front, and caring, but she didn't.

There's plenty of custody fodder out there not even pertaining to the reptiles, that's the sad part, the reptiles are just more victims of her attention seeking behavior.

I agree. She's posted enough of her personal business elsewhere that it's going to be taken into consideration here. It's just a collective at this point.

I don't know who neg repped me for a post, but i'm not trying to drag her "personal" business into this thread. It was already in place long before I ever said anything.

I would rather NOT see it here, but since Ashley herself has brought it up numerous times, it was bound to be brought up here, instigated by the supposed e-mail from her mother, which I agree might be an attempt to shift the focus onto something other than what the thread was started for in the first place- the bad business practices.

And so WHAT starts? I have sympathy for Ashley IF that note was indeed from her mother because the way I read it is that it was written by a religious, anti reptile wacko. No truly caring parent would ever pm information like that to a complete and total stranger on a message board!

I don't feel a lot of sympathy for Ashley with regards to her reptile collection and the topic of this BOI thread, but if her mom is going around reptile forums sending unsolicited pm's about her daughter and her grandchildren's personal lives then I as a caring person and passionate human feel bad for Ashley and her children.

You could have PM'd her around your sympathy IMO. But as usual you are entirely free to post what, when and however you want.

It shouldn't even have been posted without verification of the source.
