In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Ashley Caspillo-SakaraGT4/Sakara *Possible Buyer Beware!*

Well I know for a fact that she will be at the Arlington, TX NARBC show. Then she's comming here to PA, for what, I don't know. But I do know that the Hamburg show and the Repticon show will be here in PA and Philadelphia, I will be at both of them :yesnod:

If anything can be learned of this, it is that we MUST be more proactive, even if it can be construed as aggressive about exposing these people...

Where do we draw the line? I know I'm not going to let some other forum's TOS stop me from doing the unpopular thing and calling that person out. Especially a person as detrimental as this. We NEED to start policing ourselves, and sticking up for what's right instead of sweeping it under the rug and pretend it isn't happening. The "out of sight, out of mind" mentality is a huge part of what is killing us from the inside out.

Well I know for a fact that she will be at the Arlington, TX NARBC show.

Exactly what I have been saying all along. People may dislike me for being so in-your-face about stopping these kinds of people, but I do not care. It needs to stop before more people get hurt and more animals suffer.

This is also EXACTLY why I made the statement that I did. What will be done by the Texas herp community to prevent this now that the threat is known?

I find it real hard to believe that Ashley is vending at the NARBC Show. What name is she vending under? One quick call to Bob and Brian will clear this up real quick. I'll wait for your reply.

One person that doesn't even live in Texas claims that Ashley will "be at the Arlington NARBC Show". He didn't even say vending, he said she would be there. I'll contact the promoters myself if it ends up being a fact that she is vending, but I'll wait for Angel's clarification first.

Forgive what may be an ignorant question, but, from my understanding as a non-boa person... we don't KNOW 100% if IBD can be transmitted or not through casual contact or airborn, right?

Would it be a risk to animals at the show if someone with a known IBD case handled their own animals, didn't change clothes, and went to a show? Would a situation like this where someone simply attended a show be a risk to other collectors, hobbyists, breeders, etc? Or is that "safe"?

From what I've read, it appears that we KNOW some viral ailments (like what Jen's collection contracted, or crypto in leopard geckos) can be spread this way, but it's not clear one way or the other yet with IBD? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

True, it's not known for certain the method(s) of transmission, so IMHO, it should be assumed to be airborne, transmittable through casual contact, etc. just for the sake of safety for your collection.

As I said before, I know one person in particular that practices stringent quarantine procedures, and yet, somehow, it got by him and infected all but one of his animals. That in itself is enough to convince me that it is most definitely transmittable through casual contact.

If a transmission source can not be pinned down, then you should assume all the "suspected" means of transmission are valid IMHO.

I would like to think that she would be ostracized at ANY reptile show, no matter if she is selling or not. But thats just me...............I truly would like to think she would just go hide somewhere, IMO just getting her gone from the hobby is all we can hope for at this point.

If you don't want to defend it in the thread dedicated to it, maybe you shouldn't keep harping on it in other threads.

This thread is about Ashley, not the state she lives in.

I've tried to explain this throughout the thread, because it's blazingly apparent she has visited various pet stores, and has other people with boas/pythons who clean cages, and help with her snakes.
Too much is UNKNOWN for anyone to make a safe assumption on anything regarding IBD.
"Better safe than sorry" should definitely be a PRIME motivator in these cases.

I don't believe she'll be vending @ the Austin show, as Tim Cole is obviously aware of the situation. I really don't see him, or any other show promoter allowing her to vend after this thread.

I hope she's not having friends try to unload them for her. She's already shown she doesn't give a rat fart for the animals, hobby, or anyone else's collections. What's to stop her from unloading through resources OTHER than shows? Pet stores?

I strongly suspect she'll make an appearance at several of the shows, but as far as vending, I don't see it happening.

Nah, she's not going to be vending there, and, "the Texas Herp community" and/or anyone else for that matter, really cannot keep anyone from simply attending a show.

My question is WHY anyone in their right mind would attend a show in the first place when they have earned themselves a most terrible reputation!

At least people vending at these shows should be made aware of her so they don't sell to her!

Here she is talking with "retic breeder" and co-owner of the retic nation, Gavin Bowe. Maybe this is why some of the members of that forum defended her, maybe they have business together....I donno.....She is not on the vendors list for any of the PA shows or the NARBC, but I have seen people sell other people's animals on their table, and sell and trade animals in the parking lot. But like I said, I don't know if she will be vending or if any of her animals will be at these shows.

That thread is closed.

It is a valid point in this thread. A comment was made that a person known to harbor IBD and lie about it is potentially attending a show in Texas. Thus I'm asking what the people in that area are going to do about it to protect themselves and the hobby. I would be asking the same question if she were attending the Tinley Park show, Daytona, or any other show.

Nice pickup and definitely suspicious.
He has personally defended her, I have seen the PMs he sent my friend. He basically stated that IBD would have killed her pythons by now. However, that is hearsay unless he decides to post those.

There are those of you who still don't think what she did is that big of a deal. Do you people see what I mean? How even associating with her or acknowledging her presence makes YOU look bad? If you care about your hobby/animals/business and are a reputable person, don't hang out with known liars who don't care about infecting other people's collections.

Also, I would like to clarify that I am not accusing Mr. Bowe of being affiliated with Ashley's sales.

She's ben ostracized from most of the boa community for very good reason. Don't let her do the sow her liars seeds in your communities as well.

She has no place in this hobby except to address the concerns that have been brought up here and try and make right with the people whose collections she's infected.

Ok, so it looks like Ashley will be attending the NARBC Show on Saturday, as a spectator NOT a vendor. What exactly do you think should be done? Should we march back and forth outside the convention center chanting and holding signs? Maybe we should forum a human chain at the door to the show when we see Ashley coming so that she cannot get in? Short of doing that (and most likely being arrested for it), I cannot see how anyone, Texas herper or not, can keep anyone else from attending a reptile show.

How about using the pictures of herself plastered everywhere on the forums for visual verification and having someone check for Picture ID of all the attendees? May not stop her friends, but it would definitely stop HER and put a dent in her plans?

Perhaps have a big sign outside saying "Beware of this person...Please alert the management if you spot this person?" Something along those lines?:shrug01:

Here is Ashley herself:

Here is Ashley and some of her friends that she is often seen with (I believe that is Hannah on the left, Crystal is towards the back, and then Ashley).

Congratulations Ashley! Your friends are now guilty by association and now we have a mugshot for your wanted posters. Thanks for being so generous with every detail of your life! :yesnod:

Why on Earth is she attending a show unless she intends to buy/sell/trade?

I would be ashamed to show my face at a show if I'd pulled this crap.
Just confirms my original belief that she doesn't give a rip about the seriousness of the situation. I doubt she has sent any samples off yet.

Just because she doesn't have a table set up, doesn't mean she couldn't go to random people attending and try to sell her snakes via word of mouth.
I've read several posts of hers referring to people she "met at a show & sold a snake to" or "got a snake from" or was "going to work out a breeder loan with".

Not everyone knows about this thread.

IMO, it's OUR responsibility to protect others the best we can.

Sorry, and it's just my opinion, but in THIS case, I think it'd be in the best interests of all involved if she wasn't allowed to attend, simply because she's shown herself to be untrustworthy in her dealings.

He has personally defended her, I have seen the PMs he sent my friend. He basically stated that IBD would have killed her pythons by now.
Wonder if after reading this thread if he'd buy a boa from her ;)

Unless there is a Sasquatch look-a-like convention going on nextdoor to the reptile show, spotting her shouldn't be difficult.
