• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

  • IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!! About the Google Adsense ads being displayed

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Just a heads up. I received this e-mail 2 days ago, and since I now question about anything asking for account information, forwarded it to Paypal:

Thanks, Stephen Emerick

Apparently I was supposed to sign my full name. My apologies. I thought it automatically showed over < when posting. I see the "show signature" below so I hope I did it right this time.

I have gotten two or three Paypal spoofs over the last couple months, they ask for either a password or credit card number, I just forward them to the spoof address at Paypal.. Neither Paypal nor Ebay will ask for stuff like that.

Did anyone get the one on the "class action" against PayPal? Is that for real?

Thanks.

I recevied the class action one too.
I never had a problem with them so I deleted it
Tim Rash

yes

The class action suit is real. The problem for most is you have to have been a victim of them taking money or holding money and be able to prove it to get your settlement.

I have been a member of paypal for 6 years and never had a problem but I know that others have and this is the effort to put it all behind them.

ebay and paypal spoofs

I get spoof e-mails from paypal and ebay almost daily. A real P.I.T.A.!!!! The paypal one says that a new address has been added tp my acct,"laptopseller". The ebay one is that my acct is about to be suspened and wants all sorts of info. All BS. I forward all to the respective "spoof" depts. None address me by name and that is my first clue. They are addressed generically.
