    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

The good thing is this half wit continues to get caught. Very important to check the BOI before purchasing from unkown people.
 
I am the one who got burned by this guy. I have over 11 years experience with reptiles. I did step out of the reptile world for a while (for family reasons) and stupidly made some old mistakes (like the ones i made with this guy. My current stock is very healthy and mite free. This boa is very sick, it is making gurgling noises every once in a while when he is breathing through his mouth. I have her quarantined and temps up, and cleaned of mites (fingers crossed). The girth of the snake is good sized and strength is good. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks
 
I agree, but I am hoping to resolve this issue with Kevin first. Or should I just take her in to the Vet anyway? I had planned that if this is not resolved by Saturday, then I definately will. It is very hard for us to go to the Vet on a weekday because of their location.
My next concern, would be whether or not this is chronic or not. At the tip of the nose is a dip or dimple. I seems to me like I have seen this before in snakes that have had multiple RI's in the past (very well could be wrong).
 
Let me also back up a bit and start from the beginning:
Kevin sold me a possible het albino. I first paypal'd Kevin the money. Kevin had his friend Tom deliver the snake at a meeting point in NC. Tom was to hold the snake for until Sunday (he had the snake since Thursday). I told Tom that there is a lot of mucous and he said that Kevin said it was normal.
Also, his wife told me that Tom would be keeping the snake separate as he held it over for me. Tom said he had the snake in with his. The snake is covered with mites. I have emailed and called Kevin with no response. I am currently asking for a return of the animal back to him or at the very least Vet bills paid.
 
looks like i just got scammed by this guy on kingsnake. had a red iguana for sale and said he sent it but forgot to give the tracking number, no iguana yet and he isnt replying to anything. glad i found this thread but its too late now. im going to call the number i saw earlier in this post. if i dont get through i will file something through paypal to get my money back.

I have not heard from him since I banned him from my forum. I sent him a detailed email explaining that we were not going to tolerate scammers on our site. He chose not to respond, and the ban log contains no hits from his IP address.

well it wasnt a full on strike. the iguana showed up, but after 2 days instead of the overnight. he was shipped usps instead of dhl or fedex which was discussed and he had only one heat pack to keep him warm. keep in mind this is an adult iguana. on top of everything else he overcharged for shipping. im happy i got the iguana, but someone needs to put an end to this guy.
 
Kevin posted pictures of the iguana about a month ago on my forum. He claimed that he 'rescued' it at a local shop when he overheard a kid saying that he was going to release it in his backyard.

Four days later, Kevin posted pics of iguana on the Baltimore craigslist. He was trying to trade it for a hognose snake.
