    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well I was taking pictures today of two of my breeders and come up with a few good ones, so I though I'd share:

I have this picture at about 3000 pixels wide so if anyone wants a poster just let me know... lol

Very nice pics.What kind of lighting are you useing.What are you useing for a backdrop?THis is the best shot ive ever taken.

That's a really nice picture! Good use of like colors.

In terms of the backdrop, I actually use a method similiar to this guys:
http://www.pbase.com/wlhuber/light_box_light_tent.
I didn't glue it together so it folds down really nicely. He's usign a blue sheet in his but I just use a white piece of posterboard from Walgreens.

For lighting I use only a single Sigma DG-500 Super flash mounted on my Canon 20D, pointed up to reflect off the ceiling. Since I only use the one light (and not as many as the guy in the first link), I usually have to set my exposure to +1 and boost the flash to about +2/3 in order to get the background really white. Occasionally I have to do some selective erasing in photoshop to make the background more white, but until I can afford another $300 on an umbrella/light system, this will have to do. I'd like to take some more naturalistic shots (like yours there), but I don't have a whole lot that would make a good backdrop.

I try and take more natural shots..And just mess around with different back grounds.

Very cute! I tend to like the naturalistic photos when just taking photos, but for most of the business stuff I like to keep it simple so you can see the animals. The natural stuff really looks a lot better for general photography though.
