In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have waited long enough to make this post, I purchased a Female het witblits dragon from her on 12/28/14 via Paypal. After many excuses and no pics of her "being proven out with visual offspring" I began to get suspicious of foul play. She missed 2 shipping deadlines, and when asked for a refund was suddenly not interested. I placed a Paypal claim, but of course she stated it was a live animal and the claim was dropped.
A claim was also submitted via my credit card company and they have the same conclusion. Basically i was screwed out of my money in a scam she knew she would have to pony up on. She knew exactly what to state for the claim to be dropped, leading me to believe she never intended to send. Save your self time and avoid her all together. To be honest it is getting to the age where no purchases are safe on paypal any more and scammers are well aware, maybe time for money orders again???

So she never sent an animal and your credit card sided with her? I'm so sorry Pat.

I'm just curious, what state was she shipping from? Also, do you have her email?

I ask because that's a very interesting last name that came up in a BOI search with a very similar story.

EXACTLY! :iagree:

I was taken for $2200 & my lizards, by a scam artist in California a couple years ago on a PayPal transaction, now it's payment by personal or company check, (I ship when it clears), or postal money ONLY!

Never had a problem before there was PayPal, haven't had a problem since I quit them!

Sorry this happened to you, I know how FRUSTRATING it is!!

BEST of LUCK to you..

this is verry wrong that they would side with the scammer.
be it live animal or not, the bottom line was nothing was ever sent from the seller.
i can see paypal not siding with the buyer if the animal dies, but not when nothing is shipped.
same goes with the credit card, they of all people should side with you, i would call them up again and explain it clearly to a higher autority, and if they refuse to understand, cancel you card with them on the spot..

should not matter with your credit card company if it was a live animal or not. The fact is she never sent the item you paid for, therefore the credit card company should refund you. Ive never had a credit card company ever not refund me if i didnt recieve what i paid for no matter if it was for a live animal or not.

She has now contacted me because the CC company has placed a hold on her paypal account. So it looks as though the CC company may come through here. So we will see if there is a happy ending here or not.

Pat,
Maybe you are already aware but on the off chance you are not, don't close a dispute before you actually have your money.
People with frozen accounts can make some convincing promises to get you to close the dispute. Don't do it.

I agree. I was recently the victim of paypal fraud. Filed three police reports in three different counties (and two states), contacted paypal, and then contacted my bank, who also operates my credit card. It doesn't matter what the item traded was... fraud is fraud, and credit card companies take this very seriously.

I suggest calling both your local police and the jurisdiction where Jessica lives. Once the police become involved, paypal becomes surprisingly responsive to fraud claims. It's a bit of a hassle but doesn't take quite as long as you think. I was able to file two claims in 15 minutes over the phone. I'm expecting some affidavits in the mail to confirm my identity, but that's minor. My local sheriff even came to my house to collect evidence (emails, paypal receipts, etc.). Good luck, fraud sucks.

Supposedly getting wired money this evening, so we will see. But im not cancelling a thing until money is in my hand

Nope no wire, now wants to do a money order. More excuses.

I'm sure she wants to mail a money order so that you cancel the complaint with your credit card. Once you do that, she'll say she'll mail it and won't. There is no reason for her to need to do that. Personally, I would wait and get it from your credit card. It sounds like they are going to side with you. I would also call them again and check in to see what's being done. Good luck and I hope you get your money back soon.

Sound advice.
You either get the money order, cash it & then cancel the claim; or let the CC company get your money back. The latter option is what is going to work.
