    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

How much does he weigh? Do you know if he sheds clear? The head does not look like it is faded enough to be a DG. DG's have very faded heads.
Desert Ghosts turn white and black but start off as high gold and black.
That one appears to have a red tint where it would be jet black.
Looks almost like a burgandy to me.

If it is WC, it seems alot of them come in and look that color. It could be stress, it could be a region of Africa where they look like this, could be disease, could be just a nice Ball. In a year or so, you will probably know better after sheds, feeding habits, etc...

just got him in yesterday so no sheds yet and his eyes are clear so it could be a while hes at least 700g the previous owner was Phill Currie he said he had him for a few years so i wouldnt think it was disease or stress from being w/c he seems healthy and active ill have to do some burgundy research thanks for the help

If Phil had it for a few years, ask him to send you a photo of it as a baby.
At 700 grams, the change to the desert ghost coloring hasn't really started yet. This is a desert ghost at 500 grams and he is just starting to get the white in to replace the gold. They don't get the DG look until they are much larger.

Yeah. He would have the classic DG look by then.
I would think burgandy hypo or nice axanthic or just a cool looking normal but not a DG.
