In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello Guys.
first this video led me to you
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcKJlasmn_c

he Bought a beautiful Bearded Dragon from you.
I always wanted to pet a Dragon and now its time to really think about adopting one.

I have so many question but first let me tell you few things about me.
I live in Montreal. study in sound.

(I have heard thet Bearded Dragons do love music Specially Trance MUSIC )

I am allergic to cats dogs birds everything with fur and goose.
so sad because I love animals.

But not that sad ! because I am about to pet a DRAGON !! I know already what to name him ! " Shmaug" like smaug from the Hobbit.

so this is it, first of all I would like to know whats the best to pet between a BABY Bearded Dragon or an adult Bearded Dragon

of course I want it to be big !! so I can hold him with both hands.

but maybe if I buy a baby he will love me more with time. and maybe train him to be unique.

or maybe adults are like babies they learn fast and love fast.

What do you think Guys !

HELP ME CHOOSE MY DRAGON !!

he will love me
If that's what you're expecting from your interactions with a reptile, I think you're setting yourself up for some disappointment. It's great to form a bond with your pet and love it as a beautiful, fascinating creature, but I wouldn't expect any kind of discernible affection in return. They can be conditioned to tolerate our handling, but I don't think you'll find much to support the idea that they actively enjoy it in any way that's more meaningful than appreciating the warmth of our skin.

For those who like being more hands-on with their reptiles, I think a more realistic hope is that they'll see us as a warm thing that neither scares them nor happens to smell like something they want to try to eat. The more realistic your expectations, the more likely you and your dragon will both benefit from the relationship. I shudder to imagine how many reptiles have suffered for owners who've quickly lost interest in keeping something that didn't love them back.

Bearded Dragon-specific questions would be more likely get get answered in the Bearded Dragon Discussion Forum.

That big, red CLICK ME was a direct link to the Bearded Dragons Discussion Forum. Click on it and it'll take you right there. From there, you can search for specific terms, scroll through the threads in order, or create your own thread asking for advice.

A week isn't a whole lot of time to effectively learn all you'll need to know. Those of us who started before the internet existed often ended up just jumping in head first and figuring things out through trial and error. Now that there's an immense amount of information at our fingertips, it makes the most sense to take the time to pour through a lot of it and be more prepared for what you're getting into. For example, you should probably already have your enclosure set up for a week before you actually get the dragon. That'll give you time to make whatever adjustments are necessary to make sure it can maintain the proper temperature/humidity requirements.
