    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have two Sand Boa's. They were born on June 1st. I have had them for three weeks. I can not get them to eat. I got f/t pinkies and even poked holes in the heads to squeeze out brain matter and they did not even look at them funny. They are in a 20Gal glass tank with a belly heater running about 98 degrees in the day on the warm and 88 on the cool side. They are active and not showing any other signs of stress. But I am very worried about the not eating. Any help would be very thank full.

I have only ever been able to get sand boas to eat live. They sense the movement above ground and come flying out in attack mode. Maybe try live. Also try feeding at different time (day/night) I'm also thinking 88 for a cool side is quite warm.

Warm the pinky up with hot water for a few minutes, offer it on the end of tongs or long tweezers, and mimic movement by tapping on the floor of the enclosure and wiggling it around.

You said sand boa. What kind?

and the live pinkies WIN

Thank you all for your advise. I went to the snake food place and got some live pinkies... they proceeded to kill them and wait for a few then eat them. but none the less they did eat them. Thanks for all your advise.

Try what I suggested next time. The sooner you get them on F/T, they better off they'll be.

Glad they ate for you. Good luck getting them going.
