In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I just recently hatched out an albino that is eating a limited amount of food. As you know they are light sensitive until a few months of age. I moved him to the basement where there is very little light and the only way for him to eat is if I touch the food to his mouth. At that point he becomes interested in it. But for a baby he isn't eating as much as he should and the temps are just fine. Any suggestions?

none sorry, other than what you have done, strange, my albinos seem to be feeding fine.... are you placing the food in the same place at all times? I think what mine has done is remembered where the food is, cause every time I put mealies in the bowl they amble over, but follow the edge of the tub to do so...

I would bring him/her back up with the others. My albino hatchlings did fine with the light that came through the windows, and ate great.

Steve - Do you think it may be something more serious than just "light sensitivity"? Does he see OK in dim lighting?

I'm gonna try a triple whammy.... :slamit: :slamit: :slamit:

I have kept mealies in the bowl in the same place. He just doesn't seem to be interested in them until I touch his mouth with them.

Actually, all of my geckos are downstairs because I do not have enough room for the rack upstairs. I only have the other hatchling upstairs right now so I can monitor him just to make sure he's ok. The only reason I moved the albino downstairs was because I thought he was having trouble seeing in the light.

Yeah I have given that some thought but could not come up with an answer. His pupils dialate fine when the amount of light changes. He likes to curl up in a corner even though he has a hide with almost no light coming in, and when I pull out the rack he is always standing up really tall like a cricket has just run right under him.

....there, that wasn't so bad. haha
