Never heard of these before.. Is black dragon their actual name? But looks awsome
don't get scammed!
It's not Black dragon or V. salvator komaini. Black dragon is pure black coloration throughout the body (no spots or bands) and a grayish-purple tongue. Take some clear photos if you can.You can see the banding under your water monitor neck. Which leads me to belive it's Varanus togianus. Take a photo of his belly or underside and post it up. Prove me wrong? All so where did you get your water monitor from?
The baby water monitor pictured is Komaini phase Macromaculatus, not V. togianus. Baby togianus are Yellowish colored ventrally. Komaini babies are dark grey. Some obscure remnant patterning may be seen on hatchling Komainis but will ulitmately fade to Jet Black as it matures. DoubleDragon, I could also mention scalation and head morphology differences. The ad is no scam.

I happen to own adult pair of Black Dragons. I know who is producing them at the Zoo in Cost Rica as well it's no secert. My question is where did he get ? honeslty it has banding on it? I'm sorry it's not true Black Dragon. Still have not proved me wrong with my question. Come on I don't need you to tell me what is the difference between black dragon I just stated that he is not selling a black dragon. I called it togian water monitor, maybe I'm wrong but I know that it's not black dragon. That was my point to prove him wrong. If you read that article I posted from http://varanidae.org/biawak you would know the costa rican zoo is involed with that article. Do me a favor and read the article then talk to me. It cleary states (no spots or bands).
