    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I plan on getting a baby black blood python soon.I have a T-10 cage from Animal Plastics with undertank heating.I bought a 16oz and a 32 oz. sterilite box.I plan to keep one within it.When I put the hidebox (which has a small water dish on top) inside the 16oz. it looks kind of small.Would this size be OK or should I use the 32oz.? I also have a herpstat thermostat from Spyderrobotics.Could someone please suggest where I should position the probe? Thank You Harold

Harold (it's very hard to type that)
I have not worked with AP cages, but I have heard that some of their products have a slot routed in for the thermostat probe. If it is there, use it - why try to reinvent the wheel. If not, you could put it right at the bottom edge of the tub. You should still have either a digital indoor/outdoor thermometer or a temp gun so you can monitor temps effectively (depending on the setups, probe temp can differ from actual cage/surface temps).
As for which tub to use - that is difficult to answer without seeing the set up, and the snake it is intended for. When I think baby blood, I think 6qt box - so I suspect that even with the large hide/waterbowl, it would be fine in the 15qt box for a while.
Sounds like you've done your homework & made some good choices!! We'll be waiting for pics.
