    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My crested gecko that recently hatched is doing amazingly well! He is my first hatchling and since me just being a novice, i am wondering about feeding him stuff besides repashy, like maybe fruit flies? He has looked healthy and active for about 5 days but there is no noticeable amount of GCD really eaten. (He is tiny so maybe its just really hard to see the bites anyways?)

Here is a picture of him anyways :D (I'm wondering if he could be a creamsicle, but i think his back is too dark lol. He also has these awesome "sun-ray eyes" that the father had so I'm guessing its a breedable trait. (they are lighter orangish lines below the eyes...can't really be seen in the picture)

*he is flared up in the photo*

Oh, I'm not holding him too much either, i held him just for the picture.

(I hope I'm not spamming the forums either lol. I'm not sure how often people use this X.x)

Yeah-you can dab some of the Repashy CGD on his nose the day they hatch. That way, even if they only go for a nibble here and there before they hatch, they know there's food waiting for them. Some are just more hungry that others. Hatching is hard work!!!

And I only use a Gatorade cap for their food dish until they're about 6 months old. If you fill it up about 1/3, it's easier to tell if they're eating. Of course, as they grow, you add more to the dish.

You could try a few pin-head crickets, but I usually wait until they've been on the CGD for at least a month before I give them live food, so they don't get spoiled on it.

Congrats on your new cutie, by the way!!

Normally I dont suggest offering crickets too quickly, you really want to establish your gecko eating the CGD well before offering live food. And these guys do not grow fast, although witht he new version of CGD, people are finding faster growth with it. I wouldnt worry about trying to jump start your new geckos growth, any type of powfer feeding with this species is not a good thing, just sticking with the CGD your gecko will grow as it should at the correct and healthy rate.
