• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

baby uro needs help

ok i dont have much knowledge on these guys, but i just picked up a baby uro from a friend and it is very skinny, not eating at all, barely moving its head, but it will drink a bit of water from a dropper on its own. i have been trying to get it to eat for 3 days now, and nothing. it seems to be getting worse. i have it on paper towel in a 10 gallon with a 75 watt heat light on the basking side, it just lays there looking like it is not breathing. is their anything i can do for it? the closest reptile vet is about 250 miles away, can someone please help me
 
Get some UVB lights on it ASAP.

Mine love collard greens, kale, green beans and carrots. I also feed them bearded dragon pellets and beans. I'd try some mushy juvie bearded dragon pellets. Leave them in a bowl in the cage, they are a little shy when young.

They do need a hide a night ot feel secure. What I did with my baby egyptian ws to remove the hide during the day and put it back in at night, allowing it to get its UVB light and excersie, otherwise he'd just sit in his hid all day.

I know you say you live 250 miles from the nearest reptile vet, but unless you have force feeding or tube feeding experience with lizards, that might be its only hope.

Uros do benefit from UVB, but it isn't as critical with uros as it is with other lizards if they are getting the right diet and supplements. However, a lizard in as bad shape as you describe cannot process food normally until it gets the right fluid level, and the food intake has to be measured carefully, even though it is skinny, or kidney failure can occur. You need to see a vet ASAP if it is still alive for assessment and possible critical care. Then you need to read some care sheets, and you might try to contact Doug Dix and talk to him about rehabbing uros. He has been breeding raising and rehabbing uros for years.
