• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Hi my name is Tom Barry. I have been looking at getting two Cuvier dwarf caimans and came across backwater reptiles. Their website is nice their prices are fair and are very personal and professional in emails. I am wondering if anyone has done business with them and has any opinions? I believe they are a newer business and sell exclusively online. So any opinions or experiences greatly appreciated....

Hi Tom,

They are based in CA, but use drop shippers for everything but the couple things they breed themselves. Without mentioning other companies, I would ask them if they have those in stock or is going to have them shipped from a well known supplier in Texas. I'd bet your caimen will ship from Texas and Sam (I think is his name) is just marking up the price and having a real company ship for him. I would ask for photos as well, my guess is he will refuse. I wouldn't trust any company that doesn't bother having a phone number. Notice they don't mention their address either. Best of luck!

I would state that I wouldn't trust doing business with someone who made up user names and posts bad guy threads about competition falsely. That is just what Blackwater did in retaliation for the above post.



Sam, next time why not just post your defense in the thread instead of making up false claims under bogus accounts?
