    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Backwater Reptiles

I just got my refund via paypal. Thank god I found all this out before I had an animal shipped. Nobody would probably care about this as much if they would just provide a phone number and be up front on how they work. Too many lies and misleading tales for me.
 
I actually emailed backwater and asked to reverse the transaction. It was done within a day. Word is spreading even on Chameleon Forums as other people who were primed to get a Melleri also found the info I did on them and retracted their purchases as well. The best tool we can use is word of mouth and the more it gets around the sooner the deception will stop.
 
Ya I had PayPal refund to!!!!! They actually did send though, 1 of the 4 snakes! PayPal refunded so I got a white lip python for free! Yay me, lol
Oh and on the reciept they sent all 4 were on there & I never approved the order, some thing was up with PayPal so it declined it and I went about my business, then like 2weeks later this package shows up outta nowhere!
 
oh for the peeps that want paypal refund just go to dispute transaction. It will ask you to choose out of 2 main things (didnt recieve item & unauthorized transaction), then you explain what went down & they'll give you a result withen a month probably depending on whether or not the person your trying to get your cash back from agrees or tries & fight the attempt. I won super quick so I think there used to it & probably have a ton against them

So are you gonna send the snake back or pay for it? If not, you just as bad as they are.......
 
I ordered a water monitor from backwater and was really happy. It was a baby but is now about 20 inches long and is so tame I love it. They are very fast with emails. Thumbs up from me.
 
I have dealt with Backwater a few times. Not possible to reach them by phone but they respond back pretty quickly. I mostly get Newts and Salamanders from them. Light on inventory a couple of times but I got a refund and a substitution. After all that, every animal I have gotten from them is healthy and still doing well. So I do not know if that helps or not, just one herpers experience.
 
Donnydemonic, You kept the snake and received a full refund and you brag about it.. WOW..
Either send the snake back..Offer to send it back or pay for it..

If you gave the cashier at 7-11 a $10 bill and she gave you change for a $100 instead would you just walk out the door and not say anything to the clerk.. Then when you got in your car call your friends and brag how you got one over on someone... Maybe I am mis-reading the transaction with Backwater. I hope so..
 
Donny, so you cancelled payment on an order, were sucessful, DID receive part of your order AND received the other snakes later without payment? So you robbed him because you felt he MIGHT do the same? I understand cancelling an order due to this guys BOI threads...steer away they all say, I did and would not due business with tat company at all, but you received your order right? Did not refuse shipment nor return them? I'm not one to defend Backwater lol trust that, it just seems you did something even worse without even being provoked. Did I miss something or was there an email/text history that went bad?
