    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I agree with Dan. Get some uvb and change the cage and it should be just fine. I am in no way defending Backwater but, he did tell you it would be wild caught. A perfect wild caught iggy that size is unheard of. They don't get to that size without getting beat up a little. If you get his lights and cage set up right you will have a great looking iggy.
 
Creauture 33-- I agree with you, but better yet the buyer lives in SO Florida where the iguana was caught. What a perfect scenario.. If you have a patio or some other type of enclosure put it out there and let it soak up some of that good ole Florida Sunshine. The Iguana will feel right at home.
 
A iggy can turn colors in a matter of a few hours if it is stressed. Getting put in a dark box and shiped would be just the trick to stress it out. Give it some time to get use to its new home and get some uvb on it and then see what it does.
 
Yeah I feel u guys.. Ive had iguanas all of my life, I'm well aware of the fact that they can change colors-to an extent.. They lighten and darken, and on this guys best day he's not even close to the original picture. Bottom line here is that the guy was less than honest with me in our transaction, I should not have to lower my expectations and be happy when I didnt receive what I was told because I was lied to.. He's been under UVB and heat, he's out of the wire cage.. The colors aren't going to magically change..
 
Any chance you can get it some natural sun light.. Put it out in the sun daily for a month (when the temps permit) and I will bet you a quarter it turns nice and orange for you...
