I just to make this crystal clear. I offered a refund in the very first text I sent him. I did not do that under distress. But in the next breath(text) I told him to ship him back. After I told him to send him back for a full refund he started to bully me. I hate bullies and I can't believe I fell for it. But the honest to god truth is my reputation is like a gold nugget to me. It takes forever to get it and it only takes a second to get it all taken away. It was something I didn't want to chance even though I knew 100% I was in the right. You never know what a scammer is going to make up. I shouldn't have ever seconded guesses you guys. The fauna family is the very best in the biz at sniffing out scammers. Sorry for ever having doubts. You guys are the best. I'll NEVER make that mistake again.

It's important to me that my customers know that I firmly stand behind what I sell. If you buy from me and your not happy for any reason I don't care how ridiculous it is I will ALWAYS take back my animal and make the situation whole. I don't care about the extra money out of my pocket I'll spend to ship back. Happy customers equal more sales. And I'll tell you guys this sales are up. I'm not getting rich but I'm having a great time doing what I love to do. And that's look at reptiles every extra second I get. If there was no money in it id still have a house full of reptiles. You guys know once it gets in your blood there ain't no getting it out!! It's like a disease. And there is no cure. lol.

This is the first time anyone has ever not been "happy" with a panther that they have recieved. But it's clear as day this guy is happy too. He so dang happy he won't give him back. Lmao. Why else would he hold onto him ever so tightly.

One of the most obvious scams I've seen in awhile. What doesn't compute is him coming on here and apparently thinking he would seal the deal with a bad guy post and not be found out. Clearly not the brightest bulb. Sorry, couldn't avoid the holiday themed pun... Craig, if your offering a discount for mentioning this thread it could pay off. You're getting free positive advertising and 100% support from real intelligent people. Heck, I might be interested myself, those panthers are definitely SICK bro!

Even with the obvious financial loss and attack on your reputation, what shows through is that you really just want your cham back and his welfare is what's most important to you. It's quite clear this OP is a lying sack of you know what and he's made a big mistake revealing himself to this community as such.

Perhaps the OP scammer is unaware of what libel is, and that this looks like a premeditated theft that could be reported to the police as well.

Kind of stupid to rip somebody off, bash them, and end up with your own address and personal information all over the web. You know this thread will come up when people google you, right? The real name always comes out...no matter how many aliases you try to hide behind.

At this point, you might want to talk to Paypal if you are indeed certain of victory. I know you preferred to have your critter back, but I don't see that happening, and your buyer may try to milk you for shipping costs back (and alleged vet costs) and possibly keep those funds as well as the refund he was given.

I don't care about the shipping cost. $50 is a small price to pay to get my boy back home safe and sound. I'm actually willing to purchase a label and email it to him. He knows this because I mentioned like 20 times to him.
But Lucille I think your write. He's not going to send him back.
He's a scammer. He played this out pretty good. The only thing I don't get is why he came here to go after my reputation. It's like he has it out for me. But the thing is I have never dealt with him before much less even heard of him. My best guess is he got agervated after I thought about it for a while (maybe 4-6 hours) and decided to call some other panther breeders I know. After talking to them and were like "bro he got you" (in so many words) it really started to stew around inside me. So I contacted him back and told him I talked to some people bla bla bla and its not right what your doing to me. I think when we first talked around 1 he figured he had he up against a wall. Well surprise mothersucker I returned and told him to either give back or give me the money.
It didn't take him very long to get annoyed and come here. When he got here he must have forgot he was taking a knife (butter knife) to a gun fight. And basically you guys blew his head clean off. (In so many words) Well actually he did it to himself.
He texted me lastnight a screenshot of me telling him a few words I said under distress. The good thing is I have the whole entire afternoon conversation on text. And I'm obviously being black mailed/extorted (under threat of him coming here and attacking me). A blind man can see I said what I said to get this guy to shut up. Like I said earlier my reputation is everything to me. And $200 wasn't worth the chance. I didn't know what lies he would make up,ect.
I'm calling PayPal in a little bit. Hope there open its Saturday. I'll keep you guys posted.

Craig, there's been several allusions to you telling him to keep both the chameleon and the money (or at least, keeping the chameleon for an indefinite period of time after you had refunded him.) In your last post you admit you said things in distress. If he is going to try to blackmail you, you may be better off getting ahead of him and posting the text conversation, including both where you said he could keep it and what he was saying to distress you enough to offer that, yourself. I don't think anyone would fault you for "going back on your word" by asking for some type of compensation to make the deal fair (either money or the chameleon). If this guy is coercing or threatening you, it would help other people out to familiarize themselves with his tactics so they don't end up in the same situation. No one else has asked for proof that you gave him the chameleon, so I'd imagine no one is considering that as a possible resolution, especially not after the "receiver" (I can't really call him a buyer now) has been outed for adopting new identities.

He sent me an email lastnight around 11. But my email was getting flooded with people contacting me and all the fauna messages so I just saw it. He was cordial in the conversation. But he made no mention of refunding me or shipping him back.
I responded and asked him if he would just hand him off to another person down there at his house that I 100% trust. I will not be mentioning any names. Or he could pick another location if he didn't feel safe doing it at his home. This way all he has to do is hand off and shipping will not be a hassle to him.
I just sent that email. I told him that I would let you guys know in the end he did the right thing. So I hope I'm able to post that extremely soon.
James/Mark please do what is morally right here. You told me you went to church 3 times a week. If this is true I would think you would feel morally compelled to give him back.

Telling him to hang onto the cham for a few weeks is one thing. It shows concern for the critter that you don't want it to go through the shipping process twice in a short period of time.
Actually giving the critter away is something completely different.

I was just trying to keep a little quinkle of hope alive in my own head.

Basically I said I have no choice but to trust you. At this point I had already refunded. I suggested in 2 weeks he ship him back. He told me he was a man of God and went to church 3 days a week and that he was a trust worthy person.
Now remember I was bullied and threatened at that point. Plus he already had both. The chameleon and the money.
Like I said in my last post I was grasping at straws just trying to keep a glimmer of hope alive that he would do the right thing.
And he still can do the right thing. I have made it so easy for him. All he has to do is take him out of his cage and place him in another gentleman's hand. Doesn't get much easier than that.
