    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Just to let everyone know. I recently purchased a 2.3 group of carpet pythons from Derek Mcquire, (Throw4ever...) he advertised the group as all 2 males and 2 proven breeder females and 1 ready to breed now. Here is the text of add..

The first pic is a high yellow male jungle, he is about 6ft and is eating F/t rats, proven breeder, Out of all of the snakes in this group he is the only one that will bite 375$

Second pic is my other male jungle that has some dimond in him. He is close to 7ft and is crushing F/t rats. Will breed anyhting you put him with. Proven Breeder 300$

3rd pic is my high yellow female, she is around 4ft and feeding on live rats 300$

4th pic is my huge Proven breeder female jungle with some dimond in her...she is about 6-7 ft and will eat anything and everything you give her, eating f/t rats right now 300$

5th snake is a female jungle that has laid eggs for me for the last 2 years...this year she laid 17 eggs..eats f/t rats , cant put any more pics up so just email me and ill send some 300$

Well I bought them and they all probed out to be males. NOt a female in the bunch. Luckily my credit card is taking care of me. Anyway, he wont return my calls or emails so good sign he knew what he was doing. Be carefull, I would think twice before doing business with this gentleman (I use this term loosely). I would love to here his response to all of this.

No pictures of the probe, but I have a signed statement from the guy who probed them for me. I myself am not conifident enough to do it. I watched and the probe went at least 8-12 scales and most went beyond the limits of the probe. The gentleman who probed them checked both side as to not make a mistake. It was obvious that they were male. What promted me to check them was that when I placed a supposed male and female together, they began to combat within seconds. I have emails I sent him but he wont respond, so there are no emails to post other than what I have written him. I must admit the last few werent that nice. If he were to respond I may not be doing this and we could work this out. Right now he has not responded and I have been trying to contact for about a month. I have also left messages on his cell phone (several).
 
Matt I would support your issue with emails if you have. Time to post them. If they are one sided at least that tells us you tried to make contact and gives a little insight as to how many emails he ignored. With out a GREAT reason for no response to your emails it seems to me he knew what was going to happen once you probed them. But that's JMHO and we know what opinions are like...

Derek, I would appreciate a response as some things that are going on here are confusing based on your descriptions. The large female cannot be a female as she was combating the large diamond cross male, and the high yellow male cannot be male as he was courted by the large diamond cross male do you have a clue what you sent me or is just a bunch of random animals your were trying to unload. I paid $850 for 3 females and 2 males, so far I have maybe 1 female a 4 ft possible female that could not breed. If you have a hint of morals or ethics you would email me and help me sort this out. I attempted to contact you a few weeks back but for some reason you would not respond. thanks

sorry i was at track meet all weekend and this is the first time iv been able to check this.....she is alot smaller than all the rest but she still should put out a sm clutch for ya.....she is the same age as the high yellow male...over 3 years old she was just really picky the first year and a half on what she would eat

yea my dad dosnt really know much about carpets.....he is used to burms and they are usually 10-13 ft b4 there ready so these are really small to him
but the high yellow should be ready

B4 i left Ny i made sure the temp was low so they are ready to go....and the only one that will need to put on some more weight is the last female that i told u about already....remember i said you will need to power feed her for about a month then she should be ready to go...... and for the feeding part when you cool your animals you dont feed them anyways....u wait till you warm them back up

I spoke with your dad last night about shipping the animals today and we discussed the snakes some. I am concerned about a few things. You told me and posted in the add that the females were ready to breed including the high yellow female. Your dad says other, he has not cooled them, or feed on a regular basis. He is feeding them about every month, which is not adequate for breeding females. I will now have to sit on these animals for about a year before I can attempt this again. $850 was a good price for animals ready to breed, but not for animals that I will have to feed for the next year, which will be at least $200 worth of rats. Anyway, I would like you to please respond and tell me how you will handle this. I was purchasing these animals thinking I would breed them and make some money to pay for them up front. I may not have purchased other wise. Thank you and I look forward to your response. Please email me as I will be in class all day. If we can come up with a good solution then delivery of tomorrow will be good.

I was searching through some posts on fauna classifieds and I found a post where you were giving rave reviews about a guy you bought some gtp's from. Said the transaction was flawless and you got just what you had expected. I find this to be extremely ironic because if I were to review our transaction it would not read like that. From what i can tell you sent me a group of males. According to your post it had 2 proven females and a young breeding female. There is not much I can do, but I have no doubts that life will kick you in the butt one day. thanks

Thanks for posting those emails Matt... looks like this guy and his dad might just be a little shady... JMO. Good luck reaping any compensation. Where did he ship from again?
 
Looks to me like the Dad tried to warn the buyer and the buyer went ahead with the deal anyway when the seller said "my dad doesn't know much..."

So, I wouldn't tar the Dad with the same brush just yet.
 
I remember that ad very clearly. I was even thinking of contacting him when he was selling those (maybe I even did but dont remember). Sorry that happened to you man.

A word of advice, next time you want to buy a big female, tell them to GURANTEE you that it's a female, especially with carpets. I just sold my 8ft female coastal and guranteed it as a female. I probe all animals several times and get even other people do it just to make sure I'm correct before I post animals for sale. When you buy a good sized female get an email from them stating they are 100% sure its a female or your money back/get an equivalent snake of the same value.

Some people are sneaky, be careful.

A guarantee is only as good as the sorce it is coming from. In this case from what I have seen, a guarantee would have been worthless.
 
Never thought of that, good point! I guess just check every detail about the person before buying from them. Check the BOI and ask around I suppose.

People need to be cautious who their dealing with now-a-days. At least he got animals, some people here pay and receive nothing. I would be furious whether I didnt get any animals or in this case received them but not sexed properly or just plain lied to. :NoNo:
