In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am curious to know if anyone has had success with their respective credit card companies regarding deals that have gone bad. Specifically when you get something that is obviously misrepresented such as a CBB/WC situation. Where you were supposed to get CBB, but end up with what is obvisouly a WC animal.

I apologize to those who have had this happen, but I want to try and educate myself prior to making a purchase that may or may not be on the level.

Thanks.

Bad deal fund recovery..

Hi-
I am NOT a herp keeper or seller BUT I have seen many animals bought and sold.

1) Call your credit card company to make sure theft protection is extended to LIVE animal sales. My guess is no. Hence the importance of written guarantees from the seller.

2) A few bucks worth of long distance calls spent on the telephone actually talking to other customers of this dealer is ALWAYS money well spent. (LOTS of people won't spend $25 on phone calls before they send thousands of dollars to a total stranger. Go figure,)

3)Even if this species is both commonly captive bred AND wild caught, there should be SOME sort of documantation even if it is just hand written notes regarding past care. (origin, feeding history, etc.) Any good seller should be willing to supply you with copies BEFORE you commit to the purchase. So ASK.

4) If your gut says NO, then don't. It is much better to regret the loss of a bargain oppertunity than to have to deal with the products of a bad transaction.

Good Luck
