Why Don't You Get The Point?

Why do you keep referring to the $15 refund?

How many times to people have to tell you that it's not about a measley $15?

It's the simple fact that you handled this WHOLE situation poorly and have yet to take any responsibility for your actions, this is why people have such a problem with this thread.

If at the very beginning of this thread you said.... "I'm sorry for the screw up, I will get the rest of the Paypal out right away" none of this would have come about.

That being said... calling your customers "c*ck suckers" probably won't win you any fans in itself.

When people look at this thread they are thinking " If this guy won't do the right thing over a simple refund, what in God's name would I have to go through if any of the animals arrived DOA, or if any other's problems arose?"

Ty Young just called my work. He called to ask what he can do to stop this because he doesn’t want his name slandered on the forum any more. I said that we would like the rest of our money back (even though it is not really about the money, it was about how we were treated during the whole deal). He said that he also lost out on the $15 from Pay Pal so I informed him that if Bobby Pruett would have refunded our money via the refund button that nobody would have lost any money in this deal. He started going on about the loss in his family again, and I said that I was sorry about his loss, but all Bobby and I wanted was a refund and that we shouldn’t of had to get the run-around that we did. Then he said that if Bobby wasn’t so rude to him on the phone…That is when I stopped him and told him that I was standing right next to Bobby during their conversation and how Bobby Lee was in no way rude to him and in fact he (Ty) was yelling at Bobby so loud I could hear him from 2 feet away, also Bobby Lee could barley get 2 words in during the whole conversation. Ty replied by saying that we will definitely <B>NOT</B> get the rest of our money back and hung up.

Bobby Lee and I have both learned a valuable lesson, DO NOT DEAL WITH BOBBY PRUETT OR TY YOUNG!!

LOL I dont have a problem one sending Mr.Lee $15.45. Right now im just watching how many complete ****** post on this thread about a $15 refund I never was informed that I owed.

Great attitude Bobby. Glad to see we have such a shining example of customer service with you.

If you don't have a problem sending him the $15, then why are you dragging it out? Just to be an a$$? Again, wonderful customer service.

And again Bobby, the problem is NOT with the $15. How many times must this be spelled out for you? Should someone mail you a recording of it so you don't have to read it so many times?

The problem is that when the problem arose with this deal, you quickly passed the buck onto Ty. You agree that you were the one responsible for making the sale, so then why didn't you keep on tabs with the deal anymore on the refund?

The problem is, that you shouldn't have HAD to be informed by Jeanne and Bobby Lee about the missing 3% because YOU, BOBBY PRUETT, should have been on top of what was happening. And just fyi, telling them to call Ty is NOT making arrangements for a refund. All you arranged for your customer was a big run around.

The problem is, that since they had no clue who Ty was and that they were doing business with YOU, BOBBY PRUETT, and NOT Ty, they should not have had to deal with Ty at all. They should not have even gotten his name. You know why? In big letters once again in case you've missed the last 7 pages, THEY WERE DOING BUSINESS WITH BOBBY PRUETT OF ARBOREALS, ETC. NOT TY YOUNG. THEREFORE, ANY COMPLAINTS, PROBLEMS, REFUNDS, SHOULD HAVE BEEN HANDLED BY BOBBY PRUETT OF ARBOREALS, ETC.

I think at this point the damage is done...

I don't think it is possible for Bobby or Ty to salvage either of their reputations when someone reads this thread.

Here is another peice of the puzzle that doesn't make any sense...

Back when I first contacted Ty he warned me himself of Bobby Pruett... He told me that he gave Bobby some animals to sell for him at a show and Bobby simply kept all the animals for himself. I remember Ty telling me that he was probably going to have to fly to Bobby's town (can't remember where) and take him to court over the issue.

What is God's name are you thinking when you continue to allow someone to broker animals for you after they previously tried to steal some of your animals? Just seems weird to me.

It was a success though. This is what the BOI is for. I'm sure Bobby and Ty would rather not have had their behavior in this one brought to light, but since it was I think Bobby at least has found it amusing. The fact is that you guys only start with the "bandwagon" type talk when the entire BOI community is in agreement that you owe someone some money. It's just comical to me that you would be willing to go through the garbage here for a lousy $15!

I dont see an email from Mr.Lee in my inbox or a request Funds on my paypal. Its even more funnier to me that you fine people here on the point system forum think I care what you say. Who are you to inform me of a damn thing? I just see a whole lot of jokes posting things they know nothing about. Bobby, if Ty really is your "partner," and not someone for whom you were just brokering animals (like anyone really believes that!), I would suggest that his judgment is clearly impaired. Either way, both of you have come out looking like jokes in this deal. People like you are what make this industry hazzardous for honest sellers/dealers/customers, and why the BOI is unfortunately neccessary!

Just a question

I've read the whole thread, and don't want to post any of my opinions of what is going on, but I do have one question....

If the Gecko was $500, and shipping was $35, it has been said that Jeanne and Bobby Lee were refunded $500 - 3%, did they not also get the shipping charges refunded as well?

I know Bobby Pruett won't know since he didn't send the refund, but Jeanne and Bobby Lee, did you get the $35....if not then you are really owed $50...... a little different than $15?

It would be nice if TY were to come and tell us what he thinks of all of this, and why he has now decided to deny them anything else. I know people die, and it is hard, but this guy seems like a real pain in the a$$.........

Wanted to inform all of you that Ty Young has just sent the refund for the 3% fee. At least one of them is trying to do the right thing now. It doesn't make up for the way Bobby Lee and I were treated, but at least he is trying.

Here are a couple of interesting tidbits-

tom mc kenna is one of the few people on fauna to have negative feedbacks and he is recommending bobby- birds of a feather?

There are many people with no feedback rating as yet, some with positive feedback, the system is fairly new, and very few with negative. Upchuck has negative as well. More feathers.

I don't know if any of you caught it last night but bobby kept referring to the "BANwagon" not the bandwagon.

Let's see, there were maybe a dozen different people that posted on this thread. If each of us tells three others about bobby and ty that makes 36 who will not do business with them. If each of those 36 tells 3 more that will be 108 lost customers. Get a calculator bobby. YOU HAVE LOST A LOT OF CUSTOMERS WITH YOU ATTITUDE AND SUCKY SERVICE.

I'm glad to hear Ty finally refunded you your money Jeanne... but I do think that it is rediculous what you had to go through to sqeeze $15.00 out of him.

Things to remember about Ty:

1) A bad guy post had to be made and it had to grow to 10 pages long, get 2200 views and receive 96 replies before he would do the "right" thing. Shouldn't "good guys" do the right thing without having to be pressured?

2) He actually called your partner a "c*ck sucker" over the phone when he was asked for a refund... What kind of person does that, certainly not a respectable business man?

3) He totally botched his deal with me. I received geckos that were virtually frozen the first shipment due to a terrible packing job, and I received geckos that were running around in the packaging material the second time around. He told me he would take care of the problems, and then blew me off after receiving my money. On top of all this, the animals arrived in bad shape... very thin and showing signs of MBD.

Still a bad guy in my book, but I'm glad you got your money back.

Glad to hear that Ty went ahead and sent the remainder of the refund, Jeanne. I agree that it doesn't make up for how you were treated, but the end result could have been much worse. Good luck finding some replacement animals!

I don't think a post on a good transaction with Bobby Pruett reflects negatively at all on Tom McKenna. I think it's important for people who have had good transactions to post those, and am quite surprised that not more of Bobby's customers haven't come forward. I'm sure there are many people with outstanding reputations who could say they've had good transactions with Bobby. However, every time an incident such as this one is brought to light, it reduces the size of Bobby's customer base.

We all know that bad deals get talked about a whole lot more than the good ones. Good deals get referrals, bad deals cost you business, bad attitudes make people want to distance themselves from you.

Although I have never done business with Bobby, I have met him in person, seen some of his animals in person and talked to him on the phone. I think when you interact with someone on a neutral level, you learn alot about them. I think Bobby is just misunderstood sometimes and his outspoken attitude gets misread alot as well. He is very experienced in keeping & breeding herps and is someone I would not hesitate to do business with.
